Hi everyone! We’re now at the end of August and soon summer will be over. Summer is my favourite season so I like to hang onto that on vacation vibe as long as I can. For those of us who have not been able to travel as we normally would, I think it’s even more important to escape to a vacation location in our books. Who wouldn’t want to spend some time on Malibu beach celebrity watching? Taylor Jenkins Reid latest was one of my favourite books not only of summer, but so far in 2021. It was a Read With Jenna pick for June 2021 and one that I rated ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Carrying on with the California theme, People We Meet on Vacation is partially set in Palm Beach. This book is also known from it’s UK title of You and Me on Vacation. Who wouldn’t love the retro vibe of Palm Beach with it’s mansions and exclusive shopping (and poolside fun)?

For those of you who like a good mystery, The Newcomer transports you to Treasure Island, Florida. Home to white sand beaches and a short drive from major theme parks, this sounds like the perfect place to unwind, and perhaps, solve a mystery.

I love books set in Nantucket Massachusetts and that’s where Golden Girl will take you. Filled with rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, Nantucket has been on my travel list of places to visit for many years. Elin Hilderbrand describes this location with such love, those who read her books will want to go there too.

Shoulder Season is set in 1981 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin will be sure to take you away to this beautiful location. Gorgeous sunsets, cruising on the lake with a cocktail or visiting a resort will be sure to feed your soul.
