Welcome to Can’t Wait Wednesday #15! Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the Jill at Breaking the Spine. So let me introduce you my Can’t Wait Wednesday #15 pick!
[book-info]
From The Publisher:
She has a full-time remote job and her rescue cat Fred. Her best friend Sadie visits with her two children. There’s her online support group, her jigsaw puzzles and favorite recipes, her beloved Emily Dickinson, the internet, the grocery delivery man. Also keeping her company are treacherous memories of an unstable childhood, the estrangement from her sister, and a traumatic event that had sent her reeling.
But something’s about to change. Whether Meredith likes it or not, the world is coming to her door. Does she have the courage to overcome what’s been keeping her inside all this time?
Why I Can’t Wait to Read Meredith, Alone:
This book reminds me of Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine and The Secret Life of Albert Entwistle where the reader is introduced to characters who lead solitary existences and then become substantially more social. I really enjoy these books and watch as the character blooms. This book currently has a 4.22 on over 1300 ratings on Goodreads – a good signal that I’m about to read a great book.
Does this book sound like one you’d like to read? Or, have you been lucky enough to have already read it? Let me know in the comments!
