Summary:
Aurora York’s life falls apart after the sudden loss of her parents, leaving her lonely and adrift as a public meltdown threatens her career. When a DNA test reveals a blood relative in Sicily, Aurora leaps at the chance to connect with her roots. Welcomed by a vibrant, tradition-rich family, she begins to heal amidst their warmth, her social media fame intriguing the younger generation, and her grandparents offering a different perspective. As she grows closer to a charming Italian man, Aurora starts to rediscover herself, but when a new opportunity pulls her back to the U.S., she must decide whether to return to her old life or embrace a fresh start in Sicily.
My Thoughts:
I’ve really been enjoying Jennifer Probst’s “Meet Me in Italy” series, so I couldn’t wait to dive into To Sicily With Love, the fourth book in the collection. Each novel works as a standalone, so readers can jump in at any point without missing a beat.
In To Sicily With Love, Aurora York is struggling with the devastating loss of her mother, not long after losing her father. As an only child, she suddenly finds herself completely alone. Though she has a steady boyfriend, it’s not the same as having family. Her grief spirals into a public meltdown that threatens her career as a life coach, leaving her feeling lost. On a whim, she takes a DNA test she’d been given as a gift, not expecting much to come of it. But when the results reveal family in Sicily—relatives she never knew existed—her world shifts. When a cousin reaches out, inviting her to visit, Aurora takes a leap of faith.
In Sicily, she is welcomed by a warm and lively family, and she’s surprised by just how much she feels connected to them. Through Aurora’s eyes, readers experience the beauty of the region—the food, the culture, and even a reintroduction to religion. She also meets Quint, a kind and understanding man who recognizes her grief. Their relationship develops slowly, with Quint’s gentle support helping Aurora find her way forward.
I really enjoyed this story of loss, healing, and the power of unexpected family. The vivid descriptions of Sicilian culture, the deep emotional journey, and the heartfelt relationships made this a truly touching read. I especially loved watching Aurora embrace her roots and rediscover herself in the process.
The Narration:
I listened to the audiobook version, narrated by Dominique Salvacion, and her performance was excellent. Her tone was clear and engaging, and she handled the Italian words beautifully, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the experience.
Final Thoughts:
I sincerely hope there’s a fifth book in this series—I’m not ready to leave Italy just yet!

Ohhh this is great! I used to live in Sicily, Siracusa for almost a decade! My mum lives there for nearly 30 years now. It is lovely island with rich culture and their own language, customs, constitution and food!! Would definitely check this series ! Thank you for sharing 🙂
