Meet Me on Love Lane is a romantic comedy in which a woman returns to her hometown and finds love.
From the Publisher: “Charlotte Bishop is out of options in New York City. Fired, broke, and blacklisted by her former boss, she’s forced to return to her hometown of Hope Lake, PA to lick her wounds. Although she’s expecting to find a miserable place with nothing to do, she is pleasantly surprised to discover it is bustling and thriving.
She’s only supposed to be in Hope Lake temporarily until she can earn enough money to move back to New York. She’s not supposed to reconnect with her childhood friends or her beloved grandmother. She’s not supposed to find her dream job running the local florist shop. And she’s definitely not supposed to fall for not one but two of Hope Lake’s golden boys: one the beloved high school English teacher, the other the charming town doctor”.
Meet Me on Love Lane is a sweet story of self-discovery and finding love when Charlotte Bishop returns to her hometown of Hope Lake which she left at age 10. She has many memories of her life here before her divorced mother took her away from her father and grandmother. She also has memories that have been taken away, including those of her best friend Henry. Charlotte soon finds that Hope Lake has a lot to offer – a great job opportunity, and two amazing men who have fallen for her. Will this be enough to keep Charlotte in Hope Lake?
I read this book, the second in the Hopeless Romantics series, as a standalone and did not feel as though I was missing anything by not reading the first book. I found the book to be engaging, full of interesting characters, and enjoyable.
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5.
