The Must-Read Romances Publishing in Spring 2025 List:
Publishing The Week of March 18:
As spring awakens in Starr’s Fall, Maggie arrives in town with her shy teenage son, hoping for a fresh start and determined to make her dream of opening a board game café a reality. The odds feel stacked against her, and when she finds herself drawn to Zach—a charming, geeky, and unexpectedly kind man with a reputation as a player—she worries she’s making a risky move. Adding to her hesitation, he’s also ten years younger. But as Zach bonds with her son and asks her out, Maggie must decide if she’s ready to take a chance on love and roll the dice on her own happiness.
Publishing The Week of April 1:
Zeke and Lexi expected their night together to be a fleeting escape, but a miscommunication leaves them adrift on an untethered houseboat, surrounded by endless water. Zeke was only in town to buy back his late father’s boat, while Lexi had no time for romance, focused on helping care for her best friend’s daughter. Now, with limited provisions and no immediate way home, they must work together to navigate their way back—while also confronting an unexpected challenge. Because when you’re stranded at sea with someone, there’s plenty of time to truly get to know them…and maybe even fall in love.
Xavier Rush might be dangerously close to perfect—a stunning veterinarian with Greek god looks and a soft spot for kittens—until he speaks and completely ruins the illusion. Samantha loves nothing more than proving a jerk wrong…unless he can admit his mistakes. After an unexpectedly amazing, never-ending date, she’s forced to face reality: her family is in crisis, and a relationship is impossible. She begs Xavier to let their night remain a perfect memory, but forgetting isn’t so easy. Because sometimes, one perfect moment isn’t enough—especially when there’s a chance to build a love worth remembering.
Publishing The Week of April 22:
Optimistic aspiring writer Alice Scott and grumpy Pulitzer-winning journalist Hayden Anderson both arrive on Little Crescent Island, vying for the chance to write the biography of Margaret Ives—once a tragic heiress and tabloid princess, now an elusive recluse. Margaret grants them a one-month trial period before choosing her biographer, and Alice is determined to win, relying on her people skills, ambition, and the satisfaction of rattling Hayden, who clearly sees her as real competition. But Margaret reveals only fragments of her story to each of them, bound by strict NDAs that prevent them from piecing the truth together. As tension grows—both professional and undeniably romantic—Alice and Hayden realize their own unfolding story, like Margaret’s, could be a mystery, a tragedy, or a love story…depending on how it’s told.
Ellie never expected to fall in love while interrailing through Europe, but three electrifying days in Lisbon with Ash changed everything—until he vanished when they were supposed to meet again in Spain. Six years later, she’s built a quiet life as a gardener on a grand Welsh estate, only for Ash to crash back into her world, bringing with him the heartbreaking truth of why he never showed. Despite the years apart, their connection still burns, forcing Ellie to confront her past, her feelings, and the impossible choice that could change everything.
Publishing The Week of May 6:
Alice never expected Charlie Florek to crash back into her life. Years ago, a single summer at Barry’s Bay with her Nan and a photo of three teenagers in a yellow speedboat changed everything for her. Now a photographer who prefers life behind the lens, Alice returns to the lake when Nan breaks her hip, hoping for another magical summer. But the past comes rushing back when Charlie—once the boy in her photo, now a charming and confident man—roars onto the water in that same yellow boat. As sun-drenched days and late-night conversations draw them closer, Alice finds herself seen in a way she never has before. And that, more than anything, makes her afraid of what comes next.
Publishing The Week of May 13:
Hendrix Barry has built a life most people only dream of—thriving business, incredible friends, and a loving family—but with the added challenge of caring for an aging parent, romance is the last thing on her mind. Relationships, in her experience, don’t offer a great return on investment, and she’s never met a man who can keep up with her ambition. Until Maverick Bell. The tech mogul is all charm, confidence, and undeniable chemistry, making Hendrix feel seen in a way no one else ever has. But he’s the one man she can’t have if she wants to stay on the path she’s worked so hard to carve. Yet when Maverick pursues her with relentless passion and understanding, she’s left wondering—should she finally let herself have something more?
A decade after a painful secret tore them apart, childhood sweethearts Lia Juma and Wesley Forest are reunited at Pike Bay, where their love once flourished. Lia, now a successful corporate lawyer and the perfect immigrant daughter, has carefully built a life that meets her family’s expectations, including dating a man who checks all the right boxes. But returning to the bay forces her to confront memories she thought she’d buried—especially those of Wes, the boy who once knew her heart better than anyone. As old wounds reopen and long-held secrets resurface, Lia must decide if she’s willing to risk everything for a second chance at the love she once lost. Spanning five years in the past and one transformative summer in the present, this is a story of heartbreak, healing, and the courage to follow the heart’s true path.
