My 10 Favourite Reads of 2022 are the best of the more than 100 books I read this year. I’ve awarded 5 stars to each of these books and highly recommend to everyone! Without further adieu, here’s my list in no particular order. Click on the cover to read my review.
The Last House on The Street is an emotional and compelling story which is told in a dual narrative. The author does a great job of setting the tone for this point in time in America’s history and writes a story of forbidden love and social justice. Although the book is marketed as Women’s Fiction, those readers that enjoy a good mystery or historical fiction will also appreciate it.
You know that feeling you get when you start a book and just know it’s going to be a 5 star read? That’s the emotion I felt when reading Sally Hepworth’s latest book The Younger Wife. The combination of Mysteries & Thrillers and Women’s Fiction make this book engaging and highly entertaining.
Book Lovers by Emily Henry has all the emotion and quick-wit I have come to love in a book. If you enjoy romance books with a memorable story, I highly recommend this book.
The Secret Life of Albert Entwistle is one of my favourite reads of 2022. It is a lovely, impactful story of a man who begins living his true life while facing retirement. This book is perfect for fans of Fredrik Backman and Elizabeth Berg.
Take Your Breath Away is an extraordinary psychological thriller written by Linwood Barclay. It is an engaging read that will have you guessing right until the very end. This is a must-read for fans of this genre.
Carrie Soto is Back is a compelling novel about an retired tennis star whose drive to return to the sport she loves is like no other. Determined to always be the best in her sport’s history, must she sacrifice all to get there?
Snowed in For Christmas is a captivating story of family and romance that will keep you warm this holiday season. I absolutely loved it.
Thank You For Listening is a highly-entertaining story of a former actress now audiobook narrator whose life changed after a traumatic accident. The characters are so well developed, there is plenty of funny banter, and the author writes and performs a highly entertaining and engaging storyline.
Before I Let Go is a beautifully-written story of a couple who divorce after a traumatic pair of events and their journey back to one another. If I had to choose my one favourite read of 2022, Before I Let Go is it.
A Wish For Winter is a story of loss and hope for the future in a family who celebrates Christmas like no other. It’s the first book I have read from Viola Shipman but it certainly won’t be my last.
There you have it! My 10 Favourite Reads of 2022. Do we have any favourite books in common?

So many cool books over this year! I haven’t read as much as I would have liked in 2022 so this was a good reminder to set aside time in the New Year.
