My 5 Stars Reads in the First Half of 2021

Hi everyone!  It’s July which means we’re into the second half of 2021.  While I’ve read more than 50 books so far this year, there are only four which I’ve rated as 5 star reads.  Today I will recap these four amazing reads and I hope that this will help you find your next great read.

I loved this book for its excellent character development, and the way it was written in the rare second person narrative. It also represented two of my favourite genres –  Women’s Fiction and Thriller.

The Push by Ashley Audrain

I appreciate a historical fiction book that is well researched and The Four Winds is one such example.  The story is captivating and features a strong female protagonist- qualities I absolutely adore in books.

The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah

My favourite thriller of the first half of the year was Find You First.  This was a highly engaging read featuring ethical diversity and outstanding character development.  If you love suspenseful thrillers, this one is for you.

Find You First by Linwood Barclay

Malibu Rising was another great book with complex characters and a strong female protagonist.  I loved the 1980’s Malibu setting  and the strong sense of family in this book.
