Hi everyone! If you’re like me, you don’t have unlimited time to read so I like to invest a bit of time in finding books that I’m likely to love. Today I’m featuring 5 Books that will be publishing in September 2021 that are on my list of books to read. I hope that you can find one or more on this list for you to enjoy as well.
From The Publisher:
Everyone knows Lily Atwood—and that may be her biggest problem. The beloved television reporter has it all—fame, fortune, Emmys, an adorable seven-year-old daughter, and the hashtag her loving fans created: #PerfectLily. To keep it, all she has to do is protect one life-changing secret.
Her own.
Lily has an anonymous source who feeds her story tips—but suddenly, the source begins telling Lily inside information about her own life. How does he—or she—know the truth?
Lily understands that no one reveals a secret unless they have a reason. Now she’s terrified someone is determined to destroy her world—and with it, everyone and everything she holds dear.
How much will she risk to keep her perfect life?
Why I Decided to Read Her Perfect Life
I really enjoyed the author’s last book The First to Lie and love books centred around high profile characters.
Genre: General Fiction/Mysteries & Thrillers
Publishes: September 14/21 by Forge Books (336 pages) and Macmillan Audio (11 hours).

On the verge of realizing her dream of being a doctor, Preeti Patel should be ecstatic. But between the stress of her residency, trying to find a job, and managing her traditional, no-boundaries family, Preeti’s anxiety is through the roof. Relationships and love aren’t even an option. Fortunately, Preeti’s finally found a new place to stay . . . only to discover that her new roommate is her ex.
Preeti never quite got over Daniel Thompson. Super-hot, plenty of swagger, amazing cook—the guy is practically perfect. And if it weren’t for their families, there might have been a happily ever after. But it’s hard to keep her sanity and libido in check when the man of her dreams is sleeping mere feet away. Can Preeti and Daniel find a way to stand up and fight for each other one last time . . . before they lose their second chance?
Why I Decided to Read First Love, Take Two:
I really enjoy second love romance novels and love strong female characters. I also appreciate novels whose characters are from a culture other than my own as I find there is always something new for me to learn.
Genre: Multicultural Interest/OwnVoices/Romance
Publishes: September 21/21 by Forever (Grand Central Pubishing), 336 pages

On a snowy evening in March, thirty-something Noelle Butterby is on her way back from an event at her old college when disaster strikes. With a blizzard closing off roads, she finds herself stranded, alone in her car, without food, drink, or a working charger for her phone.
All seems lost until Sam Attwood, a handsome American stranger also trapped in a nearby car, knocks on her window and offers assistance. What follows is eight perfect hours together, until morning arrives and the roads finally clear. The two strangers part, positive they’ll never see each other again but fate, it seems, has a different plan. As the two keep serendipitously bumping into one another, they begin to realize that perhaps there truly is no such thing as coincidence.
Why I Decided to Read Eight Perfect Hours:
I read the author’s previous book Dear Emmie Blue and fell in love with this author’s writing style. I love Women’s Fiction novels with serendipity as a theme and all the magic surrounding them.
Genre: Women’s Fiction
Publishes: September 28/21 by Atria (336 pages) and Simon & Schuster Audio (8 hours, 30 mins).

From the Publisher:
Rachel Rubenstein-Goldblatt is a nice Jewish girl with a shameful secret: she loves Christmas. For a decade she’s hidden her career as a Christmas romance novelist from her family. Her talent has made her a bestseller even as her chronic illness has always kept the kind of love she writes about out of reach.
But when her diversity-conscious publisher insists she write a Hanukkah romance, her well of inspiration suddenly runs dry. Hanukkah’s not magical. It’s not merry. It’s not Christmas. Desperate not to lose her contract, Rachel’s determined to find her muse at the Matzah Ball, a Jewish music celebration on the last night of Hanukkah, even if it means working with her summer camp archenemy—Jacob Greenberg.
Though Rachel and Jacob haven’t seen each other since they were kids, their grudge still glows brighter than a menorah. But as they spend more time together, Rachel finds herself drawn to Hanukkah—and Jacob—in a way she never expected. Maybe this holiday of lights will be the spark she needed to set her heart ablaze.
Why I Decided to Read The Matzah Ball:
Okay who doesn’t want to read a book about a Jewish author who writes Christmas novels? Do you remember what I said about wanting to learn about different cultures? It applies to this one as well. I can’t wait to read it!
Genre: Romance/Women’s Fiction
Publishes: September 28/21 by Harlequin Trade Publishing/MIRA (416 pages) and Harlequin Audio ( 10 hours, 30 mins).

From the Publisher:
When newly-divorced Ivy Perkins buys an old farmhouse sight unseen, she is definitely looking for a change in her life. The Four Roses, as the farmhouse is called, is a labor of love—but Ivy didn’t bargain on just how much labor. The previous family left so much furniture and so much junk, that it’s a full-time job sorting through all of it.
At the top of a closet, Ivy finds an old Santa suit—beautifully made and decades old. In the pocket of a suit she finds a note written in a childish hand: it’s from a little girl who has one Christmas wish, and that is for her father to return home from the war. This discovery sets Ivy off on a mission. Who wrote the note? Did the man ever come home? What mysteries did the Rose family hold?
Ivy’s quest brings her into the community, at a time when all she wanted to do was be left alone and nurse her wounds. But the magic of Christmas makes miracles happen, and Ivy just might find more than she ever thought possible: a welcoming town, a family reunited, a mystery solved, and a second chance at love.
Why I Decided to Read The Santa Suit:
Mary Kay Andrews is easily one of my favourite authors and I especially enjoy her Christmas novels. I love stories that celebrate the love and magic at Christmas and with a hint of mystery thrown in, this one sounds like it will be a great read.
Genre: Women’s Fiction
Publishes: September 28/21 by St. Martin’s Press ( 224 pages) and Macmillan Audio (5 hours and 21 minutes).
