My Week:
It’s been a quiet week. The weather has been mild this week but colder temperatures and likely so snow are forecasted for the week ahead. I love going out to the flower beds and checking out the emerging flower bulbs just waiting to put on their show in April and May. It’s a signal that warmer, sunnier days are ahead. Looking ahead to spring, I bought a new piece of carryon luggage (my first spinner) and can’t wait to try this out on our April trip. We haven’t figured out yet what to do this summer. I don’t want to do a trip outside North America this year so we’re waiting for inspiration to strike!

What I’m Watching:
We finally watched The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks this week. It’s been a movie that I’ve wanted to see for a while but my husband didn’t think it would be his cup of tea. He started watching it with me indicating to go ahead and he would do something on his computer if he became bored. We both ended up really enjoying it. Oprah Winfrey proves once again what a great actor she is. Here’s the trailer:

Oh how I’d love to do some traveling this summer. Would love to hear where you decide to go

Thanks Sandy! We had a short trip booked in April and are waiting for friends to see if they can join us somewhere this summer.
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
I didn’t realize that there is a movie about The Immortal Life Of Henrietta Lacks. I thought the book was exceptional. So glad to hear that you enjoyed it.
We aren’t sure where we are traveling this year. Maybe we will go rock-hunting in California and maybe we will go with my sister and her husband on a trip further afield.

It’s always fun to travel with another couple! Thanks for reading Deb.
Aj @ Read All The Things!
I read the Henrietta Lacks book last week! Now I need to watch the movie. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I hope you have a great week!

Thank you AJ! You too!
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
Ms. Dimeanor and Right Girl, Wrong Side are both on my TBR. I loved the book about Henrietta Lacks, but need to try to watch the movie. The book was so interesting and educational. We’ve had the up and down temps here too. In fact I saw some gnats flying about on some of the warmer days, which annoys me since one of the best thing about winter is supposed to be no bugs outside. lol Have a good week!

Thank you Lisa! You too!

Carla
Happy Sunday. Have you been to Nova Scotia? I loved my visit in the fall and there is so much more I want to see. I want to watch Henrietta Lacks, but want to read the book first. Have a great week, Jodie.

I have not been to Nova Scotia and it is definitely on my bucket list of places to see in the next few years Carla! Have a great week!
Anne – Books of My Heart
oh how I would love a quiet week where I could ignore medical appts, computer repairs, car maintenance and taxes which are all on this week’s schedule. But the weather’s going to be nice. You live near some of my favorite areas by the Canadian and American Rockies and I love Vancouver. In the summer I would stay north, or mountains. Colorado and northern Minnesota are nice. It depends on your interests though. There are things I want to know more in every state and province.

I hear you about the medical appointments Anne. Summer in Vancouver is typically lovely and I often stay home or travel away for a few days within the province. I do enjoy travelling when September hits especially to warmer climates. Thanks for reading Anne!
Emma @ Words And Peace

Wendy Williams
I am ready for spring! We had a snowstorm last week and another one is expected the day after we get back from Alabama on Wednesday of next week. I think I’ll be going up to your country again this summer and want to check out Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta. My son lives pretty close to both Glacier and Waterton lakes, so I’m excited to go there and to see him too! :).

Great choice Wendy! I went to Waterton Lakes many years ago and it’s beautiful!
