My Week:
It’s been a lovely week weather wise with milder temperatures, but today we’re expected to start a long stretch of hot weather again. Our forest fires are still raging and likely will continue to for the next month. Looking at the situation on Maui I am saddened to see this glorious island so devastated. I have stayed in the Lahaina area before and to see these buildings dating back to the 1700’s completely obliterated emphasizes the fact that life can change in a moment.
I had a bit of a gastrointestinal bug during the week with a particularly bad spell on Friday morning. Aside from feeling a little wiped out I seem to be back to normal. This was the first day I didn’t attempt my 11000+ step goal since my foot injury in 2019. As a creature of habit, I hate breaking routine but knew in my best interests it was best to give my body a rest.
What I Read This Week:

Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
I also watched Happiness for Beginners last week, and I thought it was pretty well done.
If there is any kind of feeling bad that I especially hate, it’s a gastrointestinal bug. Sorry you had to deal with that.
I haven’t read a Jennifer Weiner book in a long time. I’m curious about that.

Thank you Deb! I’m glad that you enjoyed Happiness for Beginners too!

Yep, GI bugs suck. Definitely best to rest up for a bit.

Terrie @ Bookshelf Journeys
I’m impressed and amazed at your 11k step goal & success for such a long period! I’ve just started a regular walking routine a couple months ago (though not 11k a day) and am settling into the routine of it. I discovered I love being outside. Glad you’re feeling better.
