Hi everyone! Today I bring to you the last six Holiday books I’m recommending which were published in 2020. If you missed Part 1 be sure to check it out. I’ll be providing a description of the book and hyperlink to my review. Without further adieu, here we go!
Gayle Mitchell is a successful author and leader of organizational change. Following an accident which landed her in hospital, she is asked who should be notified. She hesitates because work has been her life for many years. Finally she mentions the name of one of her daughters – someone she hasn’t seen or talked to in five years. In fact, Gayle has been estranged from both Samantha and her sister Ella during this time. She wonders if they would even come to visit her after how they parted five years ago.
The sisters agree to meet their mother who proclaims she wants to spend Christmas with them this year. The younger women are surprised – could this be coming from a woman who never liked Christmas and chose to work through the holidays?

In Nancy Naigle’s latest book, we see Katie taking the scenic trip from New York City to the town of Evergreen (the setting of several other books and movies) by train. Katie is a writer looking to get some rest and relaxation and inspiration for a second book. On the train she meets Ben, a former NYC reporter turned Evergreen librarian who informs Katie the things that make Evergreen so special. It doesn’t take long for Katie to understand what Ben has told her, but is this place really too good to be true?
Evergreen has a unique history, and this is the year that the town needs to find the key to opening the time capsule which was sealed up fifty years ago. This provides a context for the story which includes many activities we have associated with Christmas.
