What book are you most excited for that’s releasing later in 2022?
I am a big fan of so many authors and Elin Hilderbrand it certainly one of them. This book is one of her last few as she’s retiring in 2023 which makes it all the more reason to look forward to this one.
What book has been the most surprising read in 2022?
This is book is AKA The Cancer Ladies’ Running Club and I was tentative in my decision to read it due to the fact that the main character has cancer. It was surprising to see how uplifting the book really is. I thoroughly enjoyed it. You can read my review here.
What’s your favourite book review or book themed post you’ve ever written?
I really enjoy writing my monthly Who Wears it Better post which is a popular post with my readers too!
Do you prefer buying new books or working through your backlist?
As someone who enjoys reviewing soon to be released or newly published books, it’s definitely new books. Having said that, one of my goals for 2022 is to get through my backlist so I’ve been slowing down on my requests to Netgalley.
Who’s your ultimate book OTP?
This is such a difficult question as I have so many favourite OTP (One True Pairing)! If I have to choose just one, my pick is Noelle Butterby and Sam Attwood in Eight Perfect Hours.
Questions for My Nominees:
- What is your favourite book setting and why?
- If you had to choose only one book to read for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
- What book are you most looking forward to reading in 2022?
- Where is your preferred place and time to read?
- How do you choose your next book to read?
My Nominees:
- The Bashful Bookworm
- Carla Loves To Read
- We Live and Breathe Books
- The Magic of Wor(l)ds
- Your Book Friend
Do we have any answers in common? Let me know!

Great answers, Jodie. I am not familiar with The Bright Side Running Club, but I found it on Hoopla through my library, so I will check it out. Thanks for mentioning it. I am also waiting for Elin Hilderbrand’s book. I don’t do a lot of this type of post, but will give it a go later this week.

Thanks Carla! I look forward to reading your answers if you decide to write this post.
Cassie
Congrats on your nomination. I loved your responses. I can tell that reading is a passion for you. I have great admiration for people who read books. I have always loved books, but rarely get the time to read anymore. I’ve taken to having my daughter (new reader) read her books to me. It’s been fun getting her immersed in the characters so she looks forward to it. I know that reading throughout my youth was a great joy and benefit in my life.

I love that your daughter reads to you Cassie! My son read to me too when he was a young child. Thanks for sharing this with me. ☺️
