Hi everyone! Today’s Preview is The Last Goodbye by Fiona Lucas. I’ll be listening to the audiobook version which is being published by Harper Audio on June 8/21. The printed version is being published the same day by William Morrow and Custom House.
Publisher’s Description
“Spencer was the love of Anna’s life: her husband, her best friend, her rock. She thought their love would last forever.
But three years ago, Spencer was tragically killed in an accident and Anna’s world was shattered. How can she ever move on, when she’s lost her soulmate?
On New Year’s Eve Anna calls Spencer’s phone number, just to hear his old voicemail greeting. But to her shock, someone answers…
Brody has inherited Spencer’s old number and is the first person who truly understands what Anna’s going through. As her and Brody’s phone calls become lengthier and more frequent, they begin opening up to each other—and slowly rediscover how to smile, how to laugh, even how to hope.
But Brody hasn’t been entirely honest with Anna. Will his secret threaten everything, just as it seems she might find the courage to love again”?
Why I Decided to Read The Last Goodbye:
When I read the publisher’s note, this really spoke to me as a book I’d like to read. I love the idea of Anna finding Brody in such a random way, and the ability for both of them to return to a more normal life. I have a feeling I may need to have a box of tissues on hand!

I think your preview of the book reflects that sometimes, how sorrow connects us, even we just met someone. The story is appealing because it’s a discovery about your loved one; and how the secrets will affect the new bonds.
Looking forward to your review:)
