My Week:
It’s been a quiet week. It’s been reported that the province I live in (British Columbia) experienced it’s wettest May on record and this does not surprise me. The transition from early spring to summer is taking much longer than usual. There are days where the weather tries to get warmer, but other days that feel like March weather. We had another atmospheric river this week and it’s getting tiring.
Enough complaining! It’s nice to see some progress in the garden and I’m starting to see lots of growth and colour, including the first few blooms from my peony.

Hallmark continued their Summer Nights movies with this escape to the Caribbean. If I can’t be there, I certainly want to visit through watching this fun movie! If you missed the premiere it will be shown several times this week or you can watch it on demand.

Love all your trailers . I read a post a while back from you and I didn’t even know there was another Sex and City in the making.

Thank you for reading and for the kind words Trin!

Looks like you had a great week!! I wish we would get some more rain here! My poor flowers! I’m looking forward to your post on the book about Nantucket! I’ve always wanted to visit! Thanks so much for sharing!✨

Love the idea of a weekly check in and Sunday is the perfect day to do just that. It’s a pretty wet Summer here in Ireland too (even more than usual) but flowers are blossoming too which is lovely to see!

Thanks for reading Denise! I hope your summer brings sunshine to you in Ireland as well!
Aj @ Read All The Things!
All the water is probably good for the plants! That flower is beautiful. Have a great week!

Thanks AJ. You have a good week too!

Even though the rain gets annoying and is gloomy, we need water where I am because we’re in a drought. I wish the earth would even its distribution out so we all had the right amount of water, lol. Oh well.
I love your flower. It’s so pretty. That color is so vibrant and bold!

That would be wonderful! Thanks for reading Jenni!

Beautiful peony! They’re my favorite and I just love that color. It’s just not summer without an Elin Hilderbrand novel… not sure which one I’ll read. Just finished Lessons in Chemistry and the audio version drove me nuts with all the mispronunciations! Hope you have a good week.

I agree about Elin Hilderbrand and summer! I’m so sad she’s retiring soon. Also, thanks for the warning about Lessons in Chemistry!
Wendy Williams
We sure could use some of your rain down here in Arizona. We have another huge wildfire just a few miles from me again today. It’s close, but not too close. I’ll be reading The True Love Bookshop this week sometime too. Your flower photo is gorgeous!!

Thank you Wendy! I’m sending some rain your way! Have a great week!
Amanda Kay Oaks-Christman
It’s been rainy where I live lately, too! Hope you love Lessons in Chemistry!

Thank you Amanda! I hope the sun starts shining on you too!
Carla
We didn’t really have spring in Southern Ontario, we went from winter to summer. It has been hot and humid, which means I get in the pool often. Sounds like you had a good week and I love the look of those peonies. Have a great week Jodie.

Thanks Carla! I hope you have a great week too.
