My Week:
The past few days in Vancouver have been lovely. Temperatures are back to normal for this time of year, and I’ve been enjoying walks in the sunshine whenever I can. I hope the weather is great where you are too!
It’s been another busy week of appointments. On Monday, I took my mom for her surgery, and on Tuesday, we went to her follow-up appointment. On Wednesday, we received my dad’s latest bloodwork results, which were very good. I had to follow up with one of his other specialists regarding a medication I inject into him every second week. We’re holding off on it until his next bloodwork in early July, after which we’ll re-evaluate. On Thursday, my dad called me at 6:15 AM because my mom was feeling very ill, so I took her to the emergency room. It turned out she was having a reaction to one of the medications she’s taking post-surgery. As I write this on Saturday morning, things seem to have stabilized.
I’ve barely had time to read this week. Fortunately, since I’ve been requesting fewer books on NetGalley and Edelweiss, I only have a handful of eBooks to read. I have a great public library and find it much easier to listen to audiobooks while walking or doing chores than to sit down and read. My Audible subscription has also been very useful these days.
What I’m Watching:
We recently enjoyed watching “Tyson’s Run” on Netflix. It’s the story of a teenaged boy on the autism spectrum who befriends a marathon runner and is determined to run one of his own. Here’s the trailer:

That’s a wrap on The Sunday Post #107. How was your week?
I wish you a wonderful week ahead!
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
You certainly did have a busy week. I’m glad you are able to be there for your parents.
I hope you get a little more time to read this week, and I hope the week is a little more relaxed.

Thank you Deb.

Every little set back with our parents’ health can be stressful! But I’m glad things seem to be okay at the moment once you figured out it was the medication for you mom. Tyler’s run looks interesting, I’ll have to check it out. I was doing so good with Netgalley and then the publishers started sending me widgets and I shouldn’t have just grabbed them until I was sure I had time to read, because now I’m working to get my percentage back up to 80% again. Oh well, hope you have a good week!

I’m hoping for better health for both of your parents! That can be so stressful. My grandmother (who lives with us) is also undergoing a surgery in 2 weeks so we’ve all been stressing out and preparing for that. I hope next week is better for all of you!

Anne- Books of My Heart
I’m glad things are mostly going better for your parents. They are lucky to have you. The heat and humidity have shown up here – too soon! I am having more trouble reading at bedtime so audiobooks during the day’s chores have been good for me too.

That’s a hectic week, both physically and emotionally. I’m glad everyone got through it okay, but do find time for yourself along the way to decompress. In the meantime, I hope you are finding this week a lot less gruelling:).
