My Week:
It’s been a lovely week! The weather here has been lovely and I have had lots of opportunity to walk and take in the sunshine. We had a lovely Father’s Day dinner and it was great to spend some quality time together. My Dad had two appointments this week including one for an annual cancer check for one of his cancers and we were happy to hear he was cancer free in this area.
I also had more time to read and listen to book this week and it feels good. I only have two galleys left to read (both Christmas books) and so I’m trying to stick to library books and using audible credits. Having said that, I do love the Libro.fm influencer program so we will see what they are offering July 1. I do enjoy reading a book but I also have neck issues which limits the amount I can read. Audiobooks are my preferred format as a result.
What I’m Watching:
I have always been a big fan of Celine Dion’s voice and it was an absolute thrill for me to see her in concert. Over the past few years she has had some significant health challenges and I’ve missed seeing her perform. Prime video is releasing “I Am: Celine Dion” on June 25 and I can’t wait to watch it.

It’s a good thing that I’ve been mostly reading library books this summer. I’ve had a hard time settling into a book.

I feel the same way Deb. I really can’t find anything on Netgalley or Edelweiss that’s calling to me so I’m sticking to my library as much as possible and reading the authors I’ve grown to love.

Our weather here has been unbelievably hot, so we haven’t been able to enjoy being outdoors lately. I am glad you are having good weather Jodie, and able to get out there and take walks. Have a fantastic day 😊

I’m so glad to hear the good cancer free report. You are also fortunate to have lovely weather. It’s hot almost everywhere else. It’s hot here but oddly the humidity hasn’t been too bad yet. July and August I expect to be almost intolerable. I have all audio ARCs for July with only one eARC so I will be getting to some freebies and maybe get ahead on later ones or even a few old ones.

I saw Celine in concert in L.A. and I also went to her Christmas show taping and then another taping that she did, but I don’t remember what it was for! I got to shake her hand after that last one and I guess that’s all I remember. The Christmas show taping was so good we went back for the second filming of it. My friend from Japan went with us and after the taping he said “I think I will now be a fan of her!” I’m looking forward to the special this week!
