The Sunday Post #110: Weekly Highlights & More!

The Sunday Post
  1. aimee can read

Yay for casino winnings! Also kind of crazy that I don’t think I’ve seen any movie with Zac Efron as the lead since High School Musical… 😂

    1. thathappyreader

Thanks Aimee! I don’t think I have seen Zac Efron either!

  2. Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)

I was wondering what that movie was about. Sounds like I’ll have to give it a try. I guess they’re doing a big Hallmark festival thing here in Kansas City close to Christmas time this year, so that is cool! I’ve already got several holiday reads planned out for later this year, so I’ll have to join into your challenge! We had the horrible heat last week, but I think it will be a slight bit cooler this week thankfully. Have a great week!

  3. Jody

Wow, congratulations on your win, Jodie. I wish so bad we had a garden.

    1. thathappyreader

Thank you Jody! I do love container gardening too!

  4. Cindy's Book Corner

Yay for no appointments!! That makes for an easier week already. Also, yay for a casino win! I hope you have a wonderful week!

  5. Deb Nance at Readerbuzz

It’s great to have a week off where your parents didn’t have any appointments. I’m glad the weather has been good so that you can do some gardening or take a walk. Nice!

I look forward to seeing your thoughts about The Summer of Yes next week.

  6. Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog

I really need to stop by a casino someday! Hope you have a great week!

    1. thathappyreader

      Thank you Ronyell! You too!

  7. Jenni Elyse

I didn’t realize A Family Affair had Nicole Kidman and Zac Effron partnered up. That seems so strange to me, lol.

I hope you’re family’s doing well and that you are too. My neighbor is an extra in one of the Hallmark Christmas in July movies. I’m really excited to see her. 😀 I hope you have a great week!

I keep reading about those movies. — Interesting choices. Enjoy your week.
    best, mae

  9. Anne- Books of My Heart

oh how lovely to have a cooler week without medical appts. July and August are always hot but the rest of the year is so nice I can’t complain. Even with the holiday this week we have 3 medical appts.

I’m sorry to hear that Anne.

  10. Emily @ Budget Tales Book Blog

We had some rain yesterday when we went to the beach. We went and played on the 2p slot machines and won a couple of bits. We spent £2 in all 😂

Woot woot for Christmas in July. It’s not a thing here, but I have been trying my hardest to get the family involved ever since I found out about it a few years ago 😂 I will try and read a Christmas book but we shall see. I may have overdone it on the Blog Tour booking 😂

    Have a great week!

    Emily

I don’t read Christmas in July either Emily but I will start reading a few in September!

  11. Her Digital Coffee

Congratulations on winning! Sounds like you had an incredible week. I haven’t watched the Celine Dion documentary yet but I can already tell how emotional it’ll be from the trailer. I hope you have a great week, Jodie!

    1. thathappyreader

      Thanks Winnie! You too.

  12. Jinjer

OMG yes!!! I watched the Celine Dion documentary as I am a big fan of her. I’ve been to one concert and three tapings of two TV specials. I cried all the way through the documentary. So much heartbreak, pain, loneliness on her face. And then when she had that seizure!! My god! I’m so glad to see current video of her with life and joy and hope back in her face.

And then today they announced her foundation has donated $2 million to auto-immune something. That’s great!!!

    1. thathappyreader

I had the same feelings about the documentary Jinjer! And to think she’s been suffering for more time than what anyone knew!
