Welcome to The Sunday Post #119! The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon and Marlene of Reading Reality in her meme Stacking The Shelves.
My Week:
The weather is feeling more like summer again here in Vancouver which brings me great joy. Fall will be here before we know it so I want to experience as much of summer before it wanes away for yet another year.
No news about getting the car back yet except that it was in the paint shop earlier this week. The last part was expected to arrive on August 29 so I’m hoping we will get it back next week. Fingers crossed.
I visited my parents on Wednesday and helped my Mom can a few peaches. On Thursday my hubby and I went to the local casino for a little bit of slot fun. I’m starting to prepare for my parents 65th Anniversary in September as we want to make this as special as possible. We feel blessed that we have both are parents to be able to celebrate this milestone.
Books I’ve Added to My Shelves This Week:
From Publishers, Netgalley, Edelweiss+ & Libro.fm: None
From The Library:
What I’m Watching:
Our good friends in England recommended we watch “Colin From Accounts” which is an Australian set BBC production. It’s the story of a brewery owner and a medical student who are thrown together after a dog is injured in a car accident. There are many LOL moments. It’s available here in Canada for free on CBC Gem and I believe it’s on Paramount+ in the U.S.

Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
Wow! Their 65th wedding anniversary! Amazing.
Amanda in Retrograde sounds interesting. I read a lot of heavy books this summer, and I’d like a few light ones here at the end.

I hope that you enjoy it Deb!
Bellezza
Oh, I can appreciate the blessing of “older” parents. Mine just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary, and indeed, it is a lovely milestone of commitment. They made a foundation for us, didn’t they?
thathappyreader
They certainly have Bellezza! Congratulations to your parents as well!
Jinjer
You reminded me of when my mommy used to can peaches and she’d give me a little bowl of warm peaches to eat. So good!

Delicious right?
Emily @ Budget Tales Book Blog
I hope that you get your car back soon.
Canning peaches sounds fun. I haven’t had a peach in a while.
I hope that the anniversary plans go well.
I keep thinking about watching Colin From Accounts. As I am in the UK I see the adverts for it every so often!
Have a great week!
