My Week:
It’s been such a beautiful, warm, and sunny week here in Vancouver. I’ve really enjoyed walking over to see my parents a couple of times, using those moments to dive into an audiobook and just soak it all in. I’ve also been tackling some decluttering—cleaning out closets and cupboards, getting things ready to donate. I try to do this a few times a year, and with the seasons changing soon, it felt like the perfect time.
It’s been a quiet week for appointments, which has given me more time to enjoy reading. As for our car, it’s still at the autobody shop waiting for a part that was supposed to arrive on August 29. Now, they’re saying it should be here between September 7-14, though it could be delayed even further. It was disappointing to hear since the car seems otherwise ready to go. Hopefully, we’ll get some good news in the coming week.

What I’m Watching:
I can’t wait to start watching “The Perfect Couple” on Netflix which dropped on September 5. This six-part miniseries is based on the Elin Hilderbrand book of the same name and stars Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber.

Your experience with waiting for a part for your car sounds very frustrating! I hope your auto shop manages to get it soon.

Thank you Mae.
Jody
The Perfect Couple was showcased on our morning show, they had Elin Hilderbrand as a guest. It was exciting to hear her talk about both the book and the show. I enjoyed hearing about them both. I think I read maybe one of her books many many years ago. I hope you are enjoying that beautiful weather today, Jodie!

Thank you Jody!
Tina
That’s great you can walk to your parent’s house, I would love that!
The cleaning of cupboards and such is something I also need to tackle again. There’s a game we play called “let’s pretend we’re moving” and it helps sort out what we need to keep, wear, read, etc.

That is a wonderful game Tina!
Jonetta | Blue Mood Café
Sending good vibes about that car part, Jodie💜 Is The Perfect Couple based on the entire series?
thathappyreader
Thank you! I think it’s only the one book Jonetta.

I just saw episode one of The Perfect Couple and it seems really entertaining. The director is always good.

I hope we both enjoy the remaining episodes Jamie!

So frustrating when parts are delayed. But I am glad you are getting to enjoy some lovely weather.

Thank you Olivia!
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
It has to be frustrating knowing your car is ready except for one part. I hope the part arrives soon.
Magical Meet Cute looks like fun. I’m glad you have been able to enjoy some good weather lately.

Thank you Deb!
Vicki
Waiting for a car part is very aggravating! I hope you get it back soon. I haven’t had to deal with it on my car but my son has with his truck a/c. That’s not good especially since we live in Florida. Thankfully they are replacing it for free.
thathappyreader
It is frustrating Vicki. I hope your son has a replacement vehicle with a/c in the meantime.
Literary Feline
I really need do some decluttering and fall cleaning, but I seem to be lacking in the motivation and energy. 🙁 I did do some of that today, but not as much as I had hoped. I do hope you get your car back sooner than later! How frustrating to have it put off again. Magical Meet Cute looks fun! I hope you enjoy it and Never Ever You. Have a great weekend and week ahead, Jodie!

Magical Meet Cute is on my TBR. Will be interested to see if you enjoy it! I can’t believe they’re still waiting on that part! Hopefully it comes this week so you can get your car back. We had lots of sun, and some warmer days, although it was cooler than it normally is this time of September at the end of the week, which I loved! Have a great week!

Yay for less appointments, and for more audiobook time. I am sorry your car is not ready yet. When we lived in Greece a car crashed into our parked car, and we were without it for 2 1/2 months, it was so hard and frustrating! Your books look interesting, I hope you enjoy them! Have a great week!

How frustrating for you that the part for your car is being held up. I hope it is this week that they get it sorted. I really enjoyed Magical Meet Cute and I hope you do as well, Jodie. I didn’t know about that Netflix mini-series, but I will watch for it, I loved that book. I hope you have a good week, Jodie and that your nice weather continues.
