My Week:
I am so happy to report that we got our car back on Wednesday! I haven’t had the need to drive it yet (my hubby has for golf) but will later today as we celebrate my parents 65th Anniversary. My hubby and I have our own wedding anniversary on Monday – 35 years.
We are definitely into fall weather now. The temperatures are significantly cooler and we are getting some rain this weekend. The forecast is varied – some dry days followed by some days with showers. The furnace is coming on in the early mornings.

What I’m Watching:
The new TV season is just around the corner, and a few shows have caught my eye, especially Brilliant Minds. Starring Zachary Quinto and Michael Grassi, the series follows neurologist Oliver Wolf and his team of interns as they delve into the complexities of the human mind, all while navigating their own relationships and mental health challenges. Oliver Wolf’s character is inspired by the renowned Dr. Oliver Sacks, whom Robin Williams portrayed in Awakenings. This show premieres on September 23 (NBC in the US, City TV in Canada).

Brilliant Minds looks really interesting. I wonder if it will come to the U.S.

You got the Story She Left Behind? I want that one as I’ve enjoyed two of her previous books. Glad you got your car back!

I didn’t know there was a new series based on Oliver Sacks. I enjoyed reading his various books, and I liked the movie. I heard him speak once, and always remember his comment about Robin Williams: he said the actor had shadowed him for a few days to be able to mimic his voice and gestures — and that he felt after seeing the movie that it took him years to feel like he owned his own voice any more.

That’s a great story Mae! Robin Williams was “brilliant” in the film.

Brilliant Minds sounds very promising. We don’t have regular tv anymore (!) but I think NBC also streams its shows on Paramount.
I also think I need to find out more about The Story She Left Behind. So glad you got your car back! Enjoy the anniversaries.

Yay for getting your car back! We have had fall like for a bit, but then the last few days have been up in the 80s again, ugh! We need rain bad too. I do like Zachary Quinto, so might try that show. I’m mostly excited for the new season of Survivor that starts this week! Have a great week!

Happy anniversaries! I’m glad you got the car back. People say we will get more summer weather but it has been north winds and 75-80F for a couple weeks. This week will have rain almost every day which is hard on the walking but good for the plants.
