Welcome to The Sunday Post #122! The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. My Week:
Fall arrives this Sunday, and all signs are pointing to the close of summer. We’re enjoying mild days with some sunshine, interspersed with the occasional rain shower. The leaves are beginning to change color, hinting at the season ahead. By September 27, sunset will be before 7 p.m.
It’s been a quiet week, with only one appointment. Unfortunately, I’ve been dealing with headaches and a sense of lethargy, so I’m trying to listen to my body and rest when needed. I took a COVID test just to be safe and was relieved to see it came back negative. I’m grateful that Health Canada approved the COVID booster vaccines this week. While the rollout plan isn’t clear yet, it will likely be coordinated with the flu shots.
Books I’ve Added to My Shelves This Week:
From Publishers, Netgalley, Edelweiss+ & Libro.fm:
From The Library: None
What I’m Watching:
Netflix is set to premiere a new rom-com series, Nobody Wants This, on September 26. Starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, the show follows Joanne (Bell), a cynical podcaster, who has an unexpected ‘meet-cute’ with Noah (Brody), a charming rabbi, at a dinner party. The twist? Joanne is a staunch agnostic, leading to plenty of humorous and heartfelt moments as their worlds collide. Created by Erin Foster, daughter of music producer David Foster, the series is loosely inspired by her own unlikely love story.

That’s a wrap on The Sunday Post #122. How was your week?
I wish you a wonderful week ahead!
Tina
Headaches and lack of energy were symptoms of my bout with covid. It was so unpleasant and now I can’t get a vaccine until December.
Hope you feel better!

Thank you Tina.
mae
Good luck with getting over your headaches. Nice to hear it’s not covid.

A new Cara Bastone! Thanks for the heads up. And, I like the sound of Nobody Wants This. Have a great reading week, Jodie💜
thathappyreader
Thank you Jonetta! I have really enjoyed reading Bastone’s books this year.
Jody
Oh, Jodie, I am so sorry you’re not feeling yourself. I went to get my flu shot and my COVID-19 but ended up only being able to get my flu shot done. So I am going after my eye surgery Tuesday. Maybe like Thursday of next week. I have to get my shots or I get paranoid. I pray you get to feeling better soon and can get your shot as soon as it comes available. Relax and read your lil heart out, lol! Happy Saturday, Jodie.

You too Jody! Good luck with your surgery and getting your vaccine.

I’m sorry you have not felt 100%, hope you are better soon. I have been struggling with fatigue and some lethargy as well. I hope you have a great week.

I hope you feel better soon Cindy!
Anne@HeadFullofBooks
My husband has been dealing with headaches and lethargy, too. Have you found a solution. He is at his wits end. He’s visited several doctors and is having acupuncture next week. Poor guy. Poor you. Ugh.

Mark
Our weather here in So Cal didn’t get the memo that falls starts this week. After being in the 70’s this last week, we’ll be jumping up to the 90’s this coming week.
thathappyreader
Oh my Mark! I’m heading to Las Vegas soon and I also see the heat continue there.
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
We hope to get our vaccines soon. Several people we know have been hit hard by the vaccine so we have been waiting until we have time to rest at home if we have the same reaction.
I like stories with spiritual themes, so I may look for Nobody Wants This.
thathappyreader
That sounds like a great plan Deb.
Erin @ Cracker Crumb Life
I hope you feel better soon! We are yucky over here too. I tested and was also relieved it was negative. 🙂 As soon as I am over this cold I am getting all the vaccines!
thathappyreader
That sounds like a great plan Erin!
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
I’m excited for the new Cara Bastone book too! That tv show looks fun, I will have to maybe give it a try before I give up my Netflix subscription for a bit. Which reminds me I need to see when that is up to cancel it. Hope you have a good week!

Anne - Books of My Heart
I hope you will be feeling better soon. I’m enjoying the cooler weather this month with north winds until this week. But I’m not a fan of the early dark now.

Olivia
We are seeing some signs of Fall here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Beautiful days! But your headaches and lethargy remind me of my Fall allergies, which pretty much keeps me sealed indoors. I hope you feel better soon!
thathappyreader
I think my symptoms could very well have been fall allergies. Thanks for the heads up!
Sarah Erwin
Hope you feel better soon. That netflix show looks like a lot of fun.

Hope you’re feeling better now… glad it wasn’t Covid. Our sunsets in eastern CT have been before 7 for a couple of weeks and now is starting to get earlier even faster! I do love fall though.
