My Week:
My thoughts and prayers are with those who have been impacted hurricane Milton. Let’s hope that this is the latest dangerous hurricane of the season.
Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all my fellow Canadians! This year, my extended family has postponed our Thanksgiving dinner until next weekend to give us time to recover and prevent any spread of illness. I’m now a week into COVID recovery. While many of my symptoms have subsided, I’m still feeling quite lethargic and dealing with lingering sinus issues. This virus is truly relentless, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
Thankfully, I’ve made progress and can now read for up to 30 minutes at a time, a big improvement from the couple of minutes I could manage before. I’m also glad to hear that several of you have received the latest COVID booster. Here in our area, the booster campaign is being combined with the flu vaccine and will roll out next week. My husband and I have been advised to wait four months before getting ours.
A big thank you to everyone who has reached out with their well wishes both on the loss of Marley and on our health. Your support means a lot.

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas begins October 18 and I for one can’t wait. I know many of you think it’s too early for Christmas stuff but I’m all about it! For those of you who are not familiar with this event it means that Hallmark Channel in the US and the W network in Canada begin showing premieres of this years holiday movies each Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Who else is excited?

Good luck with our recovery. Some friends from Toronto are visiting this weekend and will seem them later for dinner. Double celebration, it seems, their thanksgiving and a visit to Ohio.

We got our latest vaccine before we headed up to take care of the grandkids. I hope you continue to feel stronger and better. It’s good that you are now able to read for longer periods of time.
I’m glad you find great happiness in the celebration of Christmas!

I would definitely have taken this 7th booster before I had travelled. Too bad it’s not being offered until next week though.
Carla
Happy Thanksgiving! I missed wishing my Canadian co-workers a Happy Thanksgiving. Oops.
We’ll be getting both shots next Friday.
What great acquisitions. I wasn’t sure if The December Market was clean or not so I didn’t ask for it but it does really appeal to me.
Oh my! Already getting ready for November. The time is just flying lately.

I’m sorry that you got Covid. I have family members who had it (including children) and it was rough. My husband and I got our yearly Covid and flu shots recently. We’ve been lucky so far with not getting sick.
Looks like you have some fun reading to look forward to!
