My Week:
Earlier this week, my husband had a setback in his recovery, but thankfully, he’s starting to feel better now. He finally tested negative, but since two negative tests, at least two days apart, are required, we’ll have to miss our belated Thanksgiving dinner today. Protecting those around us is our priority, and I’d never forgive myself if we unintentionally spread the virus. We’ll test again on Sunday to ensure we haven’t reverted to positive before visiting any vulnerable loved ones. Saying I’m looking forward to seeing family again after three weeks is an understatement.
This weekend, we’re expecting our first atmospheric river of the season, bringing high winds along with it. I’ve been busy prepping—making sure all our backup lights and devices are fully charged in case we lose power. On top of everything, today is election day in BC, where we’ll decide who will be Premier for the next four years. I’m grateful we were able to submit our mail-in ballots last week.

What I’m Watching:
I’ve discovered “The Good Place” on Netflix and am thoroughly enjoying it. The series ran from 2016-2020 and starred Kristen Bell and Ted Danson. The initial premise of the show is that Eleanor (Bell) is dead and is sent to a Heaven-lie afterlife which has been designed and is run by Michael (Danson). Are any of you fans of the show?

Thanks Jonetta.

I don’t think I ever fully finished the series, but I adore The Good Place! The humor is spot-on and it tackles some bigger questions too, which is exactly what I like in a story.

I agree with you Amanda!
Jody
I loved The Happy Place. A setback just stinks, I’m glad he is feeling better though. My prayers will be with you both, I hope you don’t lose power. I always worry about our food in the freezer and frig. Just please stay safe, Jodie.

Thank you Jody!

The Christmas You Found Me looks so cute. And I love The Good Place. It’s one of my favorite binge shows when I just need a comfort watch/background noise. I hope you have a great weekend.

I’ve never heard of an atmospheric river. I do hope you make it through that safely. And I send good wishes for recovery!
We only discovered The Good Place a year or two ago. Yes, I’m a fan!

I sure hope you husband is negative soon. I totally understand why you are worried about vulnerable family members, Jodie. I was lucky, I got my booster on Thursday. One of the benefits of being over 65. I have not heard of The Good Place, but it sounds good. It might be a good one to binge watch while we are away. We usually try and find something to watch in the evenings. I hope you both test negative and that you can have a great week.

I hope that your husband continues to get better.
I loved The Good Place. I saw the first couple of seasons.
Have a good week this week and hopefully you will get to see your family again soon.

I’m sorry to hear that Jodie, I hope you and your husband can see family again soon. I saw how much flooding Vancouver had over the weekend and I hope you’re all doing okay! I haven’t watched the Good Place but I’ve heard wonderful things about it. It’s always fun to discover an old series where all of the episodes are already available! Have a great week Jodie!

Thank you Winnie. No flooding in my neighbourhood luckily but sadly there have been several deaths because of the storm.
