My Week:
Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians! I have so much to be thankful for. For one, I’m fast approaching my 60th Birthday and am in good health. I still have both of my parents and although they have some health issues they are both living active lives. I have a loving family and family of origin which I will be spending much of today with. I am happily retired and have wonderful friends around me. I have many readers that support me on this blog and a continuous supply of books and audiobooks. What more can I ask?
The weather is still lovely here – in fact we are now in Stage 5 (of 5) drought conditions. But this is Vancouver and once the rain comes it will likely stay for quite some time. I have started to see some of the trees change colour this week and it’s only a matter of time before we see our first frost. I was sad to pull out our summer annuals as they were glorious, but I’ve planted my spring-flowering bulbs and put in some winter hardy pansies. Now to keep the squirrels from digging up the bulbs!

What I’m Watching:
I am a big fan of Allison Janney and recently watched this thriller on Netflix. I thoroughly enjoyed her performance which in my opinion is Oscar-worthy. Here’s the trailer for “Lou”:

We all have much to be thankful for. It’s almost my 66th birthday, and I’m in good health…so that’s a biggie for me, too.
I bet the weather is fantastic where you live. It’s just started to get a little cooler at night for us, and that’s great.
Built to Last looks like a fun read.

Ooh, some good books! We’ve got some drought conditions here too, pretty bad, but not quite as bad as you it sounds like. Lou is new to me, but I might have to give it a chance. Hope you have a good week!
