My Week:
The weather here in Vancouver remains cooler than usual for this time of the year so I’m asking the weather gods – bring on some warmth! The benefit of the cool is that my tulips are lasting in the garden and they bring me great joy! We had a lovely Easter dinner with family this week – I consider it a blessing to still have both of my parents who are in their 80’s.
What I Read This Week:
I finished 2 books this week and loved both of them!
Next Week I Hope to Read:
What I Watched:
This week I started watching the Showtime series The First Lady and I am really enjoying it! The First Lady has an all-star cast including Viola Davis as Michelle Obama, Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford and Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt.

I wish I could read two books in a month, I get distracted easily. This was a fun post to read and I like that you laid out next week’s schedule too. I’ve now added The First Lady to my Netflix list! Your blog is great!

Anne - Books of My Heart
Vancouver. I loved Vancouver when we were lucky enough to visit there. Really everywhere we went was beautiful. I can tell you where every used bookstore is from Winnipeg to Vancouver because we had 3 boxes of books and had read most of them. My daughter read all day while I drove. This was all just pre-Kindle. Now she would watch tv shows she had downloaded on her Fire. I still read more than I watch but First Lady looks interesting.

I’m so glad you loved Vancouver Anne! Being the only reader in my family, I love that your daughter and you shared your love of books. I’m sure she will come back to them a little later in life. Thanks for reading!

Your tulips are lovely! I especially love that color of pink. I’m glad you had a good Easter with your family and that you still have both of your parents. My mom passed away 9 years ago and my dad passed away a little over a year ago. It’s really hard, especially around the holidays. I cherish my memories with them, though. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I’ll try and send some showers your way Wendy! Thanks for reading!
Carla
You are so lucky to have your parents. I am thrilled that you still spend time with them and realize how lucky you are. The First Lady series sounds really good, I will have to see if I can find it. Have a great week, Jodie.
