My Week:
It’s been a quiet week here. We’re all slowly getting over the illnesses of last week. The range oven was declared unfeasible for the extended warranty issuer to repair so we’re waiting on a store credit from Lowe’s to replace the unit. I’m really hoping it won’t be too much longer as it’s becoming more and more challenging to come up with things to cook without an oven. Having said that, there is always inventory problems in our post-COVID world so we’re likely to be limited to finding something that is available in store.

What I’m Watching:
I’ve started watching the third and final season of Dead to Me and enjoying it. It’s been a long wait for this new season (the second season was in 2020) understandable with the pandemic and Christina Applegate’s health challenges. Here’s the third season trailer:

We were completely surprised to find that we could order a new dishwasher and have it delivered the next day. Now we have to wait until my brother-in-law can help us install it, though. Good luck with your stove.
After reading nothing but nonfiction (well, and picture books!) in November, I’m really looking forward to reading some fiction in December.

Glad to hear you are making progress to having your dishwasher up and running again! I don’t think I could commit to reading nonfiction for a month so good for you Deb! Have a wonderful week ahead.
Harvee
I enjoyed watching Dead to Me too.

Glad to hear that Harvee! Thanks for reading.

Oh I must check out Dead to Me season three. I find it so amusing. What’s wrong with Christina?
thathappyreader
Christina was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis recently. She had battled breast cancer a few years ago. I have nothing but respect for her.
Jinjer
I really like your little December picture with the red cup and saucer and I think that is yarn in the bowl?
Sorry about the illnesses and the stove. My 80-yo email pal is also currently ovenless and living out of crockpot and air fryer. A few minutes ago she asked me the time and temp to air fry cut up potatoes. Or wait!!! Did she want to know about cooking a whole potato? Yikes. I’d better send her instructions for that, also.
I haven’t started S3 of Dead to Me yet but will soon. I love that series and I think Christina is amazing to keep working when she probably doesn’t feel all that great. Makes me look bad when I can’t drag myself out of my chair to vacuum.

It is yarn in the bowl! I hope your email pal gets her oven soon! I’m almost half way through Season 3 and it’s sad but good! Thanks for reading Jinger!
Anne - Books of My Heart
I hope you all feel better soon. Lowe’s needs to tell you your credit so you can get a new oven ordered! Hopefully this week will go more smoothly.

Thank Anne! Just waiting to hear back from Lowe’s.
Greg
We had a similar problem when we had to replace our fridge. Took weeks to get it. And hopefully everyone is feeling better there!
That show looks pretty good.
thathappyreader
It is Greg! Yes we’re into weeks now. Thanks for reading.
Wendy Williams
That’s too bad about your oven. I just finished the Wedding Ranch a couple of days ago and I really liked it, and I hope you do too.
thathappyreader
Glad to hear that Wendy!
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
I hope the range is replaced quickly, being without an oven is a pain.
Wishing you a great reading week
