My Week:
It’s been a lovely, quieter week! We took down our Christmas decorations (a process my family has dubbed “dechristmastizing”) and went back to our normal routines. I had coffee with friends, went for a pedicure and caught up with my husband’s side of the family. We also booked a short getaway for April!
The weather has been mild this week with a mixture of rain and a little sun. I purchased a hummingbird feeder heater for my winged friends after our last freeze. It may be mild now but temperatures are sure to drop again on several occasions before winter is over.

What I’m Watching:
In my former life as a community health nurse I worked with refugees that had settled in the area from various war-torn countries. When I learned of the movie “The Swimmers” which talks about a Syrian families experience, I knew I wanted to watch it. This movie earned a 2 1/2 minute standing ovation at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2022 and after watching it I can certainly see why. Here’s the trailer for this film now streaming on Netflix.

Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
We *dechristmastized* this week, too. The house always looks so bare after I take everything down.
I will look for The Swimmers. We’ve gotten into a bit of a rut with our watching lately—just American Family—so I’m looking for some other options.
Added Georgie, All Along, to my request list.

It does look a little bare at my place too Deb! I hope you enjoy The Swimmers and George, All Along.

The Christmas decorations have come down in my house too, as much as I love Christmas, once the New Year arrives, I’m more than happy to take them down! x

Wendy Williams
I’ll have to check out The Swimmers. It sounds amazing. I hope you enjoy Georgia, All Along. It’s a 5 star from me, I just loved it.

That’s so good to hear Wendy!
Anne - Books of My Heart
I really would like to check out the Swimmers if I watched more tv. It’s interesting you had a quieter week. Lots of people went back to work and things were much more hectic. For me it was about the same, although my daughter had more med appts this week.

I had to deChristmanize before I left for Florida, as I don’t like coming home to the tree and decorations. I’ve not heard of The Swimmers, so off to check it out. Have a wonderful week, Jodie.
