My Week:
Winter is showing itself once again with a heavy snowfall this weekend. Luckily it is the weekend and no one in my family has to go out in this mess. By later today the temperatures rise and hopefully we will start to see some of this melt and the city can get our main roads cleared in time for the work week. A great weekend just to stay home, read and cook.
We had a lovely extended family dinner on Friday which was our first chance to all get together in over a month. I never take these moments for granted and feel blessed to have my family all together. I know this is certainly not the case for everyone.
What I Read This Week:

What I’m Watching:
I read Taylor Jenkins Reid’s “Daisy Jones and the Six” in 2019 before I started blogging and really enjoyed it. I’m excited that the book has been made into a series which begins airing on Amazon Prime March 3. Anyone else excited to watch this? Here’s the trailer:

Aj @ Read All The Things!
We’ve gotten a ton of snow here too. My town is pretty good about clearing the roads, but I walk everywhere, and the sidewalks are always a mess. I hope you have a great week!

Thanks AJ! It certainly sounds like much of North America has been blanketed in snow this week!

Your winter snow is like our summer flooding, I think. Worrisome.
I do not take family get-togethers for granted either. My dad’s 96, and I feel so lucky to get to spend time with him. It’s a rare thing in our world to be able to enjoy family time.
I’ve been meaning to read Daisy Jones and the Six for a long time. Thanks for the heads up about the series.

Thanks Deb! We’ve had a lot more snow than normal this winter (some years we don’t get any). Have a great week!
Drew Alexander Ross
Great recap, Jodie 🙂 Definitely a good weekend for inside time!
thathappyreader
It sure is Drew! Thanks for reading.
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
The first two books you read this week are on my TBR. We haven’t had much snow this winter. It’s nice though when it’s on the weekend and you don’t have to get out on it. Well, now that I’ve had a couple snow days I’ll be happy if we get anymore and it’s on the weekend. I haven’t read the Daisy Jones book, but I might try the show! Have a great week!
thathappyreader
Thanks Lisa! I hope you enjoy these books!
Lucy

Thanks Lucy!
Vicki
I love the cover of The Little Venice Bookshop so I’ll check it out.
When Daisy Jones and the Six was first published a lot of my blogger friends read it but for some reason I didn’t think I’d like it. Then you post the video and I watched it. Now I want to listen to the book before I watch the movie. Thanks for changing my mind!

That’s wonderful Vicki! The narrator of the audiobook sounds so much like Stevie Nicks that I hope I’m not disappointed with the show!
Cindy Davis
How was Ginny Baird’s book??? I hope you have a great week!
thathappyreader
I enjoyed it Cindy! My review is posting soon!
Anne – Books of My Heart
It’s great you were able to get together with family and then cozy up during the weekend of heavy snow. Great time to read! I hope it warms up for you this week.

Rolé @ Hooked By That Book
We also had a lot of snow, but the sun is out, it’s warming up a bit from super freezing temps and the snow is melting a bit. Hope you have warmer weather soon. Enjoy your week.
thathappyreader
Thanks Rolé. We had a lot of melt Sunday but today it’s snowing again!
Carla
I sure hope winter is over soon! Lovely that you can get together with family. I am looking forward to that when I get back home. Enjoy your upcoming reads, Jodie. I didn’t read Daisy Jones, but I think I will watch the series though. Have a wonderful week, Jodie.
