My Week:
We had a great time in Las Vegas this week! The weather was beautiful (yes to warmth!), the food excellent and as a bonus we had a lovely view of the Bellagio fountains from our room. Vegas has become our place to re-energize and after a stressful winter we were happy to have the opportunity to travel there.
We got some good news while we were away that my family member’s cancer scans were clear! I was so happy to receive this news while we were away. Those of you who have lived the experience of waiting for news every three months will know what I mean.
We are celebrating my Dad’s 87th birthday today! I am so lucky to still have my Dad in my life and to live close enough to see him regularly. It will be nice to get together as an extended family to wish him many more!
What I Read This Week:
What I’m Watching:
We watched You’re Not You on Prime Video this weekend. The movie was from 2014 and is the story of a thirty-something woman who is diagnosed with ALS and the relationship she forms with a younger brash college student. Both Hillary Swank and Emily Rossum shine in this film and I can’t recommend it enough.

I’ve only been to Vegas once and I didn’t enjoy all the cigarette smoking. Has that changed? I loved the shows and restaurants. We went horseback riding there too. I’m glad you had such a good trip and got great news. Sophia read An Italian Island Summer and has a review coming up later this month.

You’ll be happy to know that there is definitely movement towards non-smoking in Vegas. The ParkMGM is totally smoke-free and several of the casinos have non-smoking sections.
