The Sunday Post #54

The Sunday Post
  1. Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)

We need some rain here. It seems to keep going all around us. Although my grass is still growing like crazy. Some good books on your radar. Hope you have a good week!

    1. thathappyreader

Thanks Lisa! Our grass is growing exceptionally fast too!

  2. Fransic verso

That’s awesome that you planted some vegetables. Love the rain and we had some as well. Hope you will have a lovely week and Sunday!

    1. Tamyara

It rained all weekend in Buffalo. I am currently reading a book by Eric Jerome Dickey called the business of lovers. I am binge watching Snow and of course writing.

      1. thathappyreader

I hope the sun comes out soon for you Tamyara!

  3. Carla

All of your books are also on my TBR Jodie. I have to mix it up or I know I will get in a rut. I am taking a bit of a break from Historical Fiction (especially WWII) as I am getting burned out on it, so I know the feeling. That trailer was amazing, I need to watch that movie. Have a wonderful week and enjoy all that colour in your gardents.

  4. Mareli Thalwitzer

Oh I remember Impossible! It was a great movie, disturbing and still can’t believe it all really happened.

You have a few interesting books this week! I hope you get to enjoy them all.

    Have a great week ahead!

  5. Anne - Books of My Heart

I love spring here also. I have changed to more mystery/thriller than romance because it feels like there is more plot. I read all kinds of genres though. Drowning was 5 hearts for me too.

    1. thathappyreader

Yes I think that’s the key Anne! I can’t stop thinking of Drowning it was so good!

  6. JoAnn @ Gulfside Musing

Spring is such a beautiful time of year! I remember visiting The Biltmore in Asheville, NC one year when the azaleas were at their peak… I’ve never seen so much gorgeous color. Hope your reading slump lifts this week.

  7. Her Digital Coffee

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! I’m happy to hear you got some gardening done and spent some time outdoors. I can’t wait for your review for T.J’s thriller!

    1. thathappyreader

Thank you! I hope you had a good weekend too!

  8. Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out

I’m looking forward to reading Drowning, probably next week

Wishing you a happy reading week

    1. thathappyreader

I hope you love it as much as I did Shelleyrae!

  9. Deb Nance at Readerbuzz

I really like the books you have read and are reading. I can’t seem to resist a book-about-books, and a trip to Italy may be in the cards for us this fall. Thank you for sharing these with us.

My husband has taken over my vegetable garden, so I’ve been trying to learn about native plants, especially native flowering plants. I’ve been surprised to see what has returned after the hard freeze one day we had last winter.

    1. thathappyreader

Italy sounds wonderful! I been a couple of times and have enjoyed it immensely. Have a great week Deb!

  10. Raji

Great post Jodie! I’m currently watching Queen Charlotte on Netflix and really enjoying it so far. Hope you have a great week ahead!

    1. thathappyreader

Thanks Raji! I need to check that show out!

  11. Nikki - Notes of Life

I remember watching The Impossible not long after it came out. I think it was really well done.

    1. thathappyreader

I think so too Nikki! Thanks for reading.

  12. Rolé @ Hooked By That Book

Hope your reading slump is over soon. We also liked that movie a lot. It was very emotional.

  13. thathappyreader

Yes it was emotional Rolé. Thanks for reading!

  14. Sarah Collins

Same, an awful lot of time spent in the garden – my favourite time of year seeing everything start to come through

    1. thathappyreader

It’s such a lovely time of year! Thanks for reading Sarah!
