My Week:
I’ve had a lovely week. The weather is very warm for May in the Vancouver area with highs of 33C (91F) – thank goodness the central AC is working! I’m getting my walking in early in the day so I can spend a bit of time on the patio before it becomes too hot. On Sunday, my Mom, my sister and I are spending some time together shopping and going for lunch to celebrate Mother’s Day. I feel very blessed that we can all be together again for another special day.

What I’m Watching:
I’m late to the game on this show since we it’s already released six seasons, but I’m a big fan of Somebody Feed Phil streaming on Netflix. The show is a travel and food documentary series that follows Phil Rosenthal (writer, creator and executive producer of Everybody Loves Raymond). It’s both education and funny. Here’s the trailer:

I am just starting The Little Italian Hotel and you are going to LOVE Somebody Feed Phil. I met him this year and he is such a wonderful, funny, kind man!

I love him already (I’m on season 3). What a pleasure it must have been to meet him!
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
Happily, I was able to find and reserve The Little Italian Hotel at my library. Thanks for sharing that book with us.
I shared a bit of your post that deals with Somebody Feed Phil with my sister this morning. She and her husband are fans of Everybody Loves Raymond and I think she might like this show, too.

Looks like some good books this week! We had the warm, almost or in the 90s weather here too! I’m hoping the new Christina Lauren audiobook is ready to go when I drive to Branson on Memorial Day weekend so I can enjoy listening to it! Have a great week!

Anne - Books of My Heart
That is hot to me. I’m glad we have about a month left of 20-25C temps yet. I don’t even want to go out in July and August. I’m so glad you are having your family time to celebrate.

There are abnormally high temperatures for us too Anne – we are usually in the 20’s as well. Thanks for reading.

Happy Mother’s Day. Jodie. My friend keeps telling me that I should watch Somebody Feed Phil. I should just get started! Wow, it is hot of this time of year for you. We have been in the high 70s here and that is warm enough for now. Have a good week.

Your upcoming reads look really interesting! We’ve been having some nice weather here in Toronto too, but it’s still fluctuating a bit – I can’t wait until it’s properly warm and I can pack away the jackets and sweaters for the next couple of months! Hope you have a great week Jodie!
