Welcome to The Sunday Post #56! The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.
My Week:
We have had July-like weather for the past week and it’s been lovely being able to spend my reading time on the patio. We will finish planting the garden today after removing the spent tulips and daffodils. The prices of plants and hanging baskets are significantly higher this year (like everything else). We’ve limited our purchase of annuals as a result. Luckily I have a lot of well-established perennials in my gardens and just needed a splash of colour to carry me through the summer months.

What I’m Watching:
I am highly anticipating the second season of “And Just Like That” which is scheduled to air on June 22. For those of you who don’t know, it’s the follow up series to “Sex and The City” which aired in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. Here’s the second season trailer:

I picked up a copy of The Island Villa at the library conference so I’ll be interested in seeing what you think about it.
I love being able to read outside during this time of year, too. And I’ve been meaning to get more plants…

I hope that you enjoy the book as much as I did Deb!

We read the description for The Island Villa and it sounds really good. We love that it’s set in Corfu, which is such a pretty island. We’d love to go back. Thanks for sharing!

I think I’d like all of those books. I’ve never watched Sex and The City or And Just Like That.

Anne - Books of My Heart
yes I am happy to have perennials so I don’t plant new each year. But the veggies are mostly plant every year. The herbs are a mix. Our July-August weather is stifling hot. But it’s nice the rest of the year. We are supposed to have 70s this week, around 25C which is really nice I think. Especially if the breeze is from the north. I’ve seen lots of positive reviews for Meet Me at the Lake. I may have to read it too.

Carla
I love when the weather is like that, nice to sit outside, but not too hot. I have to get my baskets, but will be away for a week, next week, so am waiting until after I get back. Both of the books you read this week are on my 20 Books for Summer list, so will be reading them shortly. Have a great week, and I hope you enjoyed your long weekend.

Glad the weather is better. I want to go out to get hanging baskets and flowers for my back deck. Maybe this weekend. Enjoy all your reads.
