My Week:
Happy Father’s Day to all those celebrating! I am blessed to have my Dad in my life. He has always been a wonderful role model and has always been there when I need him. Unfortunately he has some significant health challenges right now but I cherish each day I can share with him. We celebrated all the Dads in my family yesterday and as always it was a lovely day.
The weather here has been milder this week and we have rain showers expected in the next few days. We really do need the water as our amount of precipitation over the past few months is much lower than normal. Wildfire season started in April this year which is earlier than usual so any rain without lightening is appreciated.

What I’m Watching:
I enjoyed the first season of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” last year and I’ve just learned that season 2 will be beginning soon. The series is based on the books by Jenny Han and is a coming-of-age romantic drama. Here is the trailer for Season 2 which will be on Amazon Prime Video starting July 14.

I echo your comments regarding Father’s Day – it’s the same day here in the UK, too. And while we generally are enjoying cool, rainy weather during June, it’s been uncomfortably hot all week with everything gradually looking more and more parched as we haven’t had any rain here for over a month. Until today and then it’s just been a handful of thundery showers. I can’t quite believe that I’m wishing for rain after such a very wet Spring! Have a great week, Jodie.

Celebrated Father’s day with my dad yesterday and will celebrate with my stepdad tonight. And yay for the next season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, I was wondering when that would be back on! It’s been pretty hot here, we got a tiny break today with some rain, but I think it’s back up close to 90 again tomorrow. Ugh. Oh well, have a nice week!

We are also supposed to get quite a bit of rain this week and I hope it’s true. The plants could use it and it will help things stay cooler. Enjoy your reads!
