Welcome to The Sunday Post #74! The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.
My Week:
We have transitioned to Fall here in Vancouver. We’ve had some rain this week which improved our drought level from 5/5 to 4/5. Elsewhere in the province rain wasn’t received and there are over 300 fires still burning in the province. Hopefully the rest of the province will get some rain soon.
I met friends for our walk and coffee catch up again this week. I look forward to this very much as I miss the socialization that came with working and seeing other women every day. As I write this Saturday morning, I’m looking forward to getting together with extended family this afternoon to celebrate my Aunt’s 80th birthday.
What I Read This Week:
This Week I Hope To Read:
What I’m Watching:
I watched “Love At First Sight” this week on Netflix and enjoyed it very much. It’s the story of Hadley and Oliver who meet and fall in love on a transatlantic flight. The probability of ever finding each other again seems highly unlikely, but love has a way of defying the odds.

Thank you Jody! You too!
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
I make an effort to get out and meet people and talk to them wherever I can. It was much easier to do when I was working.
I like the sound of Love at First Sight. It’s now on my list to watch.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did Deb!

300 fires still burning?? That’s just horrible:(. Let’s hope they, too, get the rain to put them out. It can be challenging to alter your routine to ensure that you get socialisation outside the house once you’ve retired. I haven’t yet got the balance right, but I’m still hampered by the long covid fatigue and I’m living alongside two other people. That said – I do find I really miss talking to other women, even though I love Himself and my 13 yo grandson to bits. Have a great week, Jodie:).

You too Sarah! It’s definitely the female companionship I miss!
JamieAdStories
I loved that movie too. Those book covers are so seasonal and intriguing

Thanks for reading Jamie!
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
We had fall like mornings, but the afternoons still got summer like, almost to the 90s! I need to watch Love at First Sight. Didn’t realize one of the characters has the same name as my niece. I am so ready to start reading holiday books now too! Have a great week!

Anne - Books of My Heart
I’m glad you have those friends to walk with you. We have gotten to know some of the other dog parents in the neighborhood. There are 2 neighbors who we walk their dogs when they aren’t home. Our weather has been gorgeous so it’s a lot more fun now. I’m just not ready to read holiday books yet.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post

Carla
So glad to hear you had rain, Jodie, and I hope the rest of BC gets some too. I am listening to The Beach Club Hotel right now and loving it. I will get the Wake-Up Call from the library when it is published. I also watched Love at First Sight this week and thought is was a sweet romance and it made me laugh too. Have a great week, Jodie.
Barb @ Booker T's Farm
I actually ended up watching a Christmas movie Wednesday as I recovered from my flu/covid vaccines. It was The Noel Notebook or something like that on Netflix. I really did enjoy it. However, reading wise, I’m deep in Spooky reads this month. Christmas will be here before we know it though!
thathappyreader
The Noel Notebook was excellent and a good adaptation from the book. Thanks for reading Barb!
Rolé @ Hooked By That Book
It is always great catching up with friends. I see all the Christmas books popping up more, I still have some on my list from last year’s batch. Happy Thanksgiving this weekend!
