Welcome to The Sunday Post #76! The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. My Week:
Thank you to all of you who sent thoughts and prayers regarding my family after last week’s post. They are recovering slowly. Having said that, I spent Friday with my Mom in the emergency room as she has had some cardiac issues that have been exacerbated by COVID. I pray that she returns to her usual health soon.
The weather this week has been a mixture of sunshine and showers. The leaves on trees and some bushes are showing beautiful colours now. My maples are holding onto their leaves and will for some time yet while other trees in my neighbourhood are quickly shedding theirs. Let me know if you’re seeing evidence of fall/autumn in your part of the world.
I haven’t been reading as much as I normally would as my focus has been elsewhere lately. I am enjoying the books I have read and appreciate the distraction they provide. My biggest stress reliever is walking and I have been doing as much of that as I need to.

What I’m Watching:
I need some comic relief this week and I found it in the movie “Jexi” which I watched on Prime. Having just upgraded my own phone this movie is both hilarious and silly. Take a look at the trailer:

Jody
I am happy to hear the family is getting much better. Our weather here has been rainy and cold, so I have been staying in and reading which is nice since my books take me to warmer places, lol! Happy Sunday, Jodie ☕📚🍁👻🧡

Thank you Jody.

Amanda Kay
Glad your family is doing okay! We’re definitely starting to get fall colors and weather happening here.
thathappyreader
Thanks Amanda.
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
Glad family is doing better for the most part. I had my own family issues this past week and it totally messed up my reading, because my mind was on more important things and I could concentrate or even think about reading a book for fun. I hope both of our families continue to get to feeling better this week.
thathappyreader
I wish for the same Lisa. It’s so hard to stay focused on reading when we are worried about our loved ones.
Anne - Books of My Heart
I hope your family continues to improve. We are getting colors but the leaves are not peak and not dropping heavily yet.

I have COVID right now and have been positive for two weeks, though I am no longer feeling very sick. I hope your mother recovers fully. What a blow.
thathappyreader
Oh no Anne! I hope you feel better very soon.
Jonetta | Blue Mood Café
I’ll continue keeping your mother in my prayers for a quick recovery. Hubby and I got the Covid and flu vaccines at the same time and it flattened us. His brother, a doctor, advised we never do that again!
thathappyreader
Thank you Jonetta. I had both of my vaccines at the same time last year and didn’t have anything other than a sore arm (or two). You just never know, right?
Cindy's Book Corner

I hope your family feels better soon! I caught COVID last year, and it kicked my butt.

Carla
It’s nice that you have a few things to distract you, Jodie. It is hard dealing with family and illness. I pray you mom is doing okay. Try and enjoy your upcoming week.
