My Week:
My title this week reflects my despair after watching the series finale of This is Us. It was such a well-written, well-performed TV show that I’m sure I will miss it for quite some time. They did a great job of this last episode.
The weather here feels more like spring now with warmer temperatures and a few days of more seasonal temperatures. I got the rest of the garden planted and it feels good to have this done. I have several bearded irises, the first of which started blooming this week.

What I’m Watching:
Those of you follow my blog will know how much I enjoy watching anything celebrating the late Julia Child. For those of you who don’t know who Julia was let me tell you that she was an American cooking teacher, author and television personality know for bringing the her passion and experience of French cooking to the American public. In the 1960’s she hosted a cooking show called the Art of French cooking on American public television. She was also a vivacious woman with a lovely personality who changed the way many women began to think of their own contributions to society. On May 30, CNN is celebrating Julia with a documentary. Here is the trailer:

Carla
I always thought Julia Child was British, silly me. I really need to watch This Is Us. I have only watched a few episodes here and there. I have read/listened to both of your upcoming books and will say you are in for a treat, I loved them both. Have a great week, Jodie.

I really knew nothing about Julia Child until I watched the series which led me to the Food Network series The Julia Child Challenge. I now have several of her books on my wish list at the library.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting, always love to hear from a fellow Canadian.

It’s so hard when one of your favorite TV shows ends. I still miss a show that ended 8 years ago because I thought it was so good.
Those bearded irises are beautiful. I love purple irises.
I hope you have a good week.
