My Week:
After ten weeks in hospital, I am thrilled to report that my brother came home on Tuesday! He’s significantly lighter and not 100% as yet, but each day we can see him getting stronger. On Friday I took him back to hospital for an ultrasound and bloodwork relating to his cancer in late 2022. On Wednesday, I accompanied my parents to an appointment discussing Dad’s options for dialysis if his health should deteriorate to the point that this was required. He is still awaiting a start date for his cancer therapy that hopefully will arrest the loss in kidney function.
We had a mixed bag for weather but we broken several high temperature records this week. I’m looking forward to seeing some sun over the next few days. I’m also going to get back on my usual routine of more exercise and reading time now that my brother is home.
What I’m Watching:
I’m looking forward to starting a new Netflix series starting on February 8. “One Day” which is a romance that spans several decades. It’s based on the 2009 novel of the same name by David Nicholls.

Woo hoo! I know you are thrilled that your brother has been allowed to return home. Now if they will just get going on your dad.
Maybe I will get a chance to watch One Day while my husband is out of town this week.
thathappyreader
Thank you Deb. Yes I’ll likely be watching One Day when my husband isn’t home too.
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
So glad to hear your brother got to go home! Hopefully they can get your dad figured out and maybe not dialysis. I hear once people go on that, they pretty much are on it for the rest of their life. But if it helps, that it’s worth it! I canceled my Netflix at the end of last year, but will have to resubscribe for Bridgerton later on, will have to check out One Day too! Hope you have a good week, we had some of the record breaking warm days for this time of the year this past week too I think!

Thanks Lisa. Yes the costs of streaming services are blowing up. I like your strategy of only subscribing when there is something you really want to watch.
