My Week:
It’s been a busy week! I accompanied my parents to various appointments and attended a lovely retirement lunch for one of my colleagues. She’s now become one of the members of my walking group of women who have retired from my last place of employment. I can’t wait to start up with walking again with this group in March.
We’ve had a lovely week weather wise although showers are expected this weekend. The grass is starting to grow again which is earlier in the year than normal. I love to watch the signs of spring emerge from their sleep! I’m looking forward to moving back onto Daylight Savings Time in two weeks to get that extra hour of light and the end of the day.
What I’m Watching:
I’m excited for the seventh season of “Somebody Feed Phil” dropping on Netflix on March 1. For anyone who hasn’t seen the show, Phil Rosenthal who is an American television writer and producer, is a globe-trotting foodie. His charm and unique style of telling the city’s story through its food and culture is highly entertaining. Anyone else a fan?

That will be so nice to start walking with a group of friends. I don’t socialize with anyone since I retired, so it’s great that you have that. Have a wonderful week, Jodie. ☕📚🐉🤗🫶

It seems to have done nothing but rain – and hard – all this week so there is a lot of flooding and it’s far too muddy. I’m hoping to start walking again this summer, once I’m convinced the long covid isn’t returning. I have so missed getting out in the countryside. We have another whole month before British Summer Time starts, but that also signals that the worst of the winter is behind us. Have a great week, Jodie:).

I hope your weather changes soon and that your long COVID is behind you Sarah!
Anne - Books of My Heart
You have some wonderful things ahead. Is it too cold or wet to walk in the winter months? I am also really looking forward to that extra hour of light! And even the extra dark in the morning. lol
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post

I don’t mind walking in a shower but if it’s windy or if we have heavy rain I’d rather get my exercise at home Anne.

Sure sounds like a busy week. I also like seeing the first signs of spring. Although I am not looking forward to daylight saving time and wish we would stick with just one time as the switch is always so difficult. That sounds fun your walking group is starting up again in March, I hope you’ll have fun with it.

Thanks Lola! I wish we’d stay with Daylight Savings Time year round!
Jenni Elyse
I need to start walking again. Thanks for the reminder. 😀 I hope you enjoy your time with the women once March is hear this week. I hope your parents’ appointments went well. And, I’m so glad spring’s almost here!
I’ve never watched Somebody Feed Phil. I’ll have to look into it, though. It sounds like it would be fun.

I’ve never heard of that show, but it sounds fun! I used to walk all the time. I should make myself get out and do it while the weather is nice, but I just am too tired and feel too busy as well! Hope you have a good week!
