The Weekend Post

    Those holiday lights look beautiful!

  2. Jody

Oh, wow, Jodie the lights are absolutely gorgeous. I have a few of your books added to my list as well. I was looking for a particular audiobook on NetGalley but they did not have it. I am starting to listen to more audiobooks now. Wow, a new dishwasher, how cool is that? Yes, I love getting new appliances, and you’re in love for months until it wears off, lol! Happy reading, Jodie!

  3. Tina

I want to read that Alice Feeney book too. Her other books have been great. Wow to those lights, what a display!

    1. thathappyreader

I hope that we both enjoy the book Tina!

  4. Jonetta | Blue Mood Café

Wow, what a weather phenomenon! Glad you made it through okay. Love that light show and, yes, I get excited about new appliances😏

    Have a great week, Jodie💜

  5. Claudia

Wow! What an exciting week, with a bomb cyclone, new dishwasher and those terrific lights!

  6. Joy Weese Moll

I’ll have to give A Man on the Inside a look. Fun premise!

  7. Erin @ Cracker Crumb Life

I love a holiday lights show! We are going to one next month at the zoo. And yes, I get excited about new appliances as well. Lol.

    1. thathappyreader

Enjoy the lights and zoo Erin!

  8. Olivia

Yikes on the Bomb Cyclone! I heard about it in the news, but for some reason failed to realize how extreme the wind was. I kept hearing about the rain. Weird weather. We are still recovering from Hurricane Helene here in western NC. In any case, looks like a good reading week.

    1. thathappyreader

Let’s hope both of our weather conditions normalize Olivia.

  9. Stormi

The lights look like they would have been cool! That pic is pretty!

Have a great week and happy reading!

  10. Carla

I love it when I get a new major appliance especially since I don’t replace it until something is dead.
You had a great week and another good week is ahead of you. Yeah!

    1. thathappyreader

I’d rather buy a little before something completely dies as the wait time for delivery and installation can be long.

  11. Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)

I saw on the news about that weather craziness! I also love getting a new major appliance! My stepdad got me a smaller sized dishwasher because the guy who was putting it in for me said I needed a smaller one. Turns out I could have had a bigger one and this small one didn’t really fit the plates I had, so I had to get new plates. Plus, I think maybe when he installed it he messed something up, because I have issues with mold occasionally. Ugh. It is such a fancy dishwasher too, like silent almost. Oh well. I hope yours is great and I know what you’re feeling with that! Looks like some good books too!

We had some winds and wet this week. Upcoming will be ok, but Friday on will be cold and possibly wet. You found some great new books ahead.

  14. Cindy's Book Corner

Yikes, that is crazy weather! Ours was weird this week too, but not like that. We did have our first snow, but it didn’t stick around. I hope you have a great week!

  15. Carla@CarlaLovesToRead

That weather sounds scary, Jodie. I’m glad it wasn’t too bad in your area. Our lights start next weekend. Your display looks like it was a good one. Thanks for the heads up on the Katherine Center book, I just grabbed it from EW. I have a few of those audiobooks already, so I hope we both enjoy them. Have a great week.

  18. Rebecca (the Farm Wife)

Oh those lights are lovely! 😀 I’m hoping to score some solid holiday light viewing this year … even if it’s just driving around alllllll the neighborhoods, lol 🙂
Down in North Carolina, we had 3 days of CRAZY wind! And it was cold too, ha … Our house is on a little rise, with no trees to serve as a windbreak, and it just howled and howled and howled for days.

    1. thathappyreader

Oh that must be so frightening Rebecca.

  19. Her Digital Coffee

Beautiful photos, Jodie! Thanks for sharing them, I’m glad you had a wonderful time. I love the sound of Alice Feeney’s newest book and I can’t wait for your review. Stay dry and warm!

  21. Rolé @ Hooked By That Book

I love new appliances. We have to shop for a new wall oven. Maybe we’ll wait for Boxing Day sales. A Man on the Inside is on my list of things I want to watch. You got crazy winds and we got crazy snow and cold here in Alberta.

    1. thathappyreader

So I hear Rolé! The Black Friday deals are pretty good right now too!
