My Week:
What a weather week we’ve had! On Tuesday into Wednesday a bomb cyclone (bombogenesis) sat off the coast of my province with category 4 hurricane strength winds. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a bomb cyclone happens when a cold air mass collides with warm air mass over ocean waters. The definition is for a drop of 24 millibars of pressure in 24 hours. According to our meteorologists we had a drop of 64 millibars of pressure in 24 hours which is massive. The most western areas of the province had the strongest gusts causing plenty of damage due to fallen trees. We certainly had strong gusts in the Metro Vancouver area as well. The impact of this event was felt all the way south to California. This has been an extremely wet and windy November with more to come.
We got our new dishwasher delivered and installed and I’m learning the best way to load it and take advantage of its features. Who else gets excited when they get a new major appliance?
We attended the “Lights in the Park” at a nearby park last weekend. It was very similar to what we saw in previous years but it was a dry, slightly cool evening and we all enjoyed them. Here ‘s a couple of photos:

Those holiday lights look beautiful!
Jody
Oh, wow, Jodie the lights are absolutely gorgeous. I have a few of your books added to my list as well. I was looking for a particular audiobook on NetGalley but they did not have it. I am starting to listen to more audiobooks now. Wow, a new dishwasher, how cool is that? Yes, I love getting new appliances, and you’re in love for months until it wears off, lol! Happy reading, Jodie!
Tina
I want to read that Alice Feeney book too. Her other books have been great. Wow to those lights, what a display!
