My Week:
What a weather week we’ve had! On Tuesday into Wednesday a bomb cyclone (bombogenesis) sat off the coast of my province with category 4 hurricane strength winds. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a bomb cyclone happens when a cold air mass collides with warm air mass over ocean waters. The definition is for a drop of 24 millibars of pressure in 24 hours. According to our meteorologists we had a drop of 64 millibars of pressure in 24 hours which is massive. The most western areas of the province had the strongest gusts causing plenty of damage due to fallen trees. We certainly had strong gusts in the Metro Vancouver area as well. The impact of this event was felt all the way south to California. This has been an extremely wet and windy November with more to come.
We got our new dishwasher delivered and installed and I’m learning the best way to load it and take advantage of its features. Who else gets excited when they get a new major appliance?
We attended the “Lights in the Park” at a nearby park last weekend. It was very similar to what we saw in previous years but it was a dry, slightly cool evening and we all enjoyed them. Here ‘s a couple of photos:

Exploring the complexities of marriage, change, and trust, this psychological tale delivers Feeney’s signature twists and suspense.

Oh, wow, Jodie the lights are absolutely gorgeous. I have a few of your books added to my list as well. I was looking for a particular audiobook on NetGalley but they did not have it. I am starting to listen to more audiobooks now. Wow, a new dishwasher, how cool is that? Yes, I love getting new appliances, and you’re in love for months until it wears off, lol! Happy reading, Jodie!

That’s right Jody!

Olivia
Yikes on the Bomb Cyclone! I heard about it in the news, but for some reason failed to realize how extreme the wind was. I kept hearing about the rain. Weird weather. We are still recovering from Hurricane Helene here in western NC. In any case, looks like a good reading week.
thathappyreader
Let’s hope both of our weather conditions normalize Olivia.
Stormi
The lights look like they would have been cool! That pic is pretty!
Have a great week and happy reading!

Carla
I love it when I get a new major appliance especially since I don’t replace it until something is dead.
You had a great week and another good week is ahead of you. Yeah!
thathappyreader
I’d rather buy a little before something completely dies as the wait time for delivery and installation can be long.
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
I saw on the news about that weather craziness! I also love getting a new major appliance! My stepdad got me a smaller sized dishwasher because the guy who was putting it in for me said I needed a smaller one. Turns out I could have had a bigger one and this small one didn’t really fit the plates I had, so I had to get new plates. Plus, I think maybe when he installed it he messed something up, because I have issues with mold occasionally. Ugh. It is such a fancy dishwasher too, like silent almost. Oh well. I hope yours is great and I know what you’re feeling with that! Looks like some good books too!

Oh those lights are lovely! 😀 I’m hoping to score some solid holiday light viewing this year … even if it’s just driving around alllllll the neighborhoods, lol 🙂
Down in North Carolina, we had 3 days of CRAZY wind! And it was cold too, ha … Our house is on a little rise, with no trees to serve as a windbreak, and it just howled and howled and howled for days.
thathappyreader
Oh that must be so frightening Rebecca.
