My Week:
It’s been a beautiful week after last weekend’s wild winds and heavy rain. Temperatures have risen dramatically, bringing us spring-like conditions. Crocuses are in full bloom, and in some areas, daffodils have started to appear as well. The long-term forecast suggests more of the same, so it seems winter is finally behind us—thankfully!
It’s been another quiet week. I’ve been switching up my exercise routine, and it feels great. I’m focusing more on cycling, strength training, and stretching, trying to stay ahead of any potential injuries. We’ll see how it goes!
Books I’ve Added to My Shelves This Week:
From Publishers, Netgalley, Edelweiss+ & Libro.fm:
A year after the events of Fool Me Once, former Detective Sami Kierce is haunted by a long-buried secret from his past. In 2000, while backpacking in Spain, he woke up covered in blood beside the body of a woman named Anna, with no memory of what happened. Now, in 2025, disgraced and teaching night classes in New York, Kierce is shocked to see Anna—alive. When she flees upon making eye contact, he knows he must find her and unravel the mystery that has tormented him for decades. But as he digs deeper, he realizes that some secrets are better left buried.
From The Library:
Cecily Foster is passionate about podcasts, fiercely loyal to her friends, and devoted to her sister—but after a painful betrayal by a former colleague, she’s sworn off romance. When her unreliable boss finally offers her the chance to host her own show, she should be thrilled, but there’s a catch: the show must document her dating life, guided by influencer-turned-relationship coach Eliza Cassidy. Reluctant to put her love life on display, Cecily agrees only to protect a friend’s job. As she embarks on twenty blind dates, she finds herself drawn instead to Will, a photographer she bonded with over rescuing a lost dog. But with Eliza questioning her judgment and Will’s future uncertain, Cecily must decide whether to follow the advice of others or trust her own heart—and figure out how to pursue her dreams without losing herself in the process.
What I’m Watching:
With the Oscars happening this weekend and news of the Pope’s illness, it felt like the perfect time to watch Conclave, a Best Picture nominee. I really enjoyed it and found the insight into the process of selecting a new Pope fascinating. The film features a stellar cast, including Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, and John Lithgow. I watched it on Prime.

The Weekend Post #146
That’s a wrap on The Weekend Post #145. How was your week?Â
I wish you a wonderful week ahead!

Carla
I’ve been enjoying the weather immensely. We even went to an outdoor mall on Thursday and spent three hours walking around. Good luck with your workout regimen! I’m still on restriction until April 1st. Ugh! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
thathappyreader
Thank you! I’m happy to hear you also have nice weather Carla.
Harvee44
I downloaded a Harlan Coben book. Haven’t read him in a while

I hope you enjoy it Harvee!
Cindy Davis
I found a fabulous FREE app that has really kept me motivated with working out! Have you heard of Fit On? I seriously love it! Here is a link to all my gushing (again it’s free, I just love telling people about it!):

Thanks Cindy! I will check it out.
Joy Weese Moll
We had a spring-like week, too, but it’s too early for flowers, here. Good thing because winter came back last night.
I was fascinated by the backstage look at things in Conclave, too.
thathappyreader
Thanks Joy!
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
I feel lighter with the arrival of spring here. I can almost see the plants growing from day-to-day.
I would like to see Conclave, too. I like Stanley Tucci.
thathappyreader
I’m a big fan of Stanley Tucci as well. Enjoy Conclave!
Vicki
Our weather has been great the last couple of days. I’m enjoying it before all the humidity hits us.
thathappyreader
I’m glad to hear that Vicki. Humidity is a no for me so I completely understand.
Idea-ist @ GetLostinLit
I read my first Harlan Coban book last year, and had mixed feelings about it. super well written, but the story didn’t click with me at the end. I’d try another book again though, when the opportunity presents itself.
thathappyreader
This will be my first book by Harlan Coban so I hope I enjoy it!
Aj @ Read All The Things!
Good luck with your exercise routine! I’ve been stretching pretty much every morning because my boxing lessons are destroying me. I hope you have a great week!
thathappyreader
Boxing! Well done AJ and good for you to stretch every day!
Anne - Books of My Heart
YAY for nicer weather and spring flowers. You impress me with your exercise routine. I need to do more. I also got Nobody’s Fool. I’m trying to go back and read Fool Me Once also.
I listened to The Rainfall Market on audio. The feel is definitely more “Asian” and some of their cultural things. I like that just fine. It is also more middle grade which I don’t read very much. I think the story was more simplistic in that way. I am usually reading something more complex with more action.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post

Thanks Anne.
JoAnn @ Gulfside Musing
The main drawback of being in FL for the winter is missing spring! I love crocuses and daffodils, as well as all the flowering trees and bushes. Hoping to watch Conclave this week.

I hope that you enjoy it JoAnn!

Back After This sounds good. I need to watch Conclave too. We had the nicer weather last week, then snow and ice last night! But it’s melting away today. Hope you’re having a good week!

Thanks Lisa!
