My Week:
Happy Easter to everyone celebrating this weekend! It’s been a beautiful week here in Vancouver—warm, sunny days have brought the tulips into full bloom and the maple trees are now lush with fresh leaves. We’ve also started planting our cool-weather vegetables in the garden, which always feels like the true start of spring.
We’ve enjoyed a couple of days staycationing at home and have had a wonderful time just soaking it all in. This weekend, my sister is hosting our family Easter dinner, and we’re really looking forward to spending time together.
Books I’ve Added to My Shelves This Week:
From Publishers, Netgalley, Edelweiss+ & Libro.fm: None
From The Library:Â None.
From Audible:
When Hazel is evicted from her Upper East Side apartment and issued an ultimatum by her publisher to meet her next book deadline or be dropped, she impulsively buys a house in rural Pennsylvania sight unseen. Hoping the small-town charm will reignite her creativity and entertain her remaining loyal readers, Hazel arrives to find a struggling community. However, inspiration strikes in the form of Cam, her rugged and grumpy contractor, whose animal-loving, community-driven family further draws her in. While it’s all supposed to be research for her book, Hazel soon finds herself questioning what could possibly go wrong—or right—about falling for her new surroundings and the people in it.
Ellie never expected to fall in love while interrailing through Europe, but three electrifying days in Lisbon with Ash changed everything—until he vanished when they were supposed to meet again in Spain. Six years later, she’s built a quiet life as a gardener on a grand Welsh estate, only for Ash to crash back into her world, bringing with him the heartbreaking truth of why he never showed. Despite the years apart, their connection still burns, forcing Ellie to confront her past, her feelings, and the impossible choice that could change everything.
