In 1950s Philadelphia, fifteen-year-old Ruby Pearsall strives for college amidst her mother’s priorities, but a forbidden love threatens to drag her into poverty. Meanwhile, in Washington, DC, Eleanor Quarles pursues love and acceptance in the elite world of William Pride’s wealthy Black family, leading both women to pivotal life-altering choices.
Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez:
In a tale of disastrous first encounters and comedic second chances, Dr. Briana Ortiz’s life takes an unexpected turn when Dr. Jacob Maddox, initially a source of irritation, surprises her with a heartfelt letter. Things I Wish I Told My Mother by Susan Patterson:
“Things I Wish I Told My Mother” unfolds as Laurie, an adventurous artist, and her elegant, perfectionist mother, Dr. Liz, embark on a journey to Paris and Norway.
