Hi everyone! It’s time for Who Wears It Better February 2022 edition! In this feature, I look at different book covers used for the same book. In some cases, the cover is chosen by geography (e.g. North America or UK). Other times, it’s based on the edition of the book (hardcover, paperback, kindle etc). Where it becomes confusing is when the book is given a completely different title! Just for fun, and because I love talking books, let’s see what different books covers I’ve noticed recently. You can click on the book covers to read my review of each book when available. Let’s go!
This book is one of those that have a multitude of different covers (and titles) but I’ve included three here. This is part of The Devil Wears Prada series and the hardcover edition of the book most closely reflects this. Moreover, Lululemon is a Canadian founded company (specifically Vancouver where I’m from) so my choice is the Hardcover edition.
Add When Life Gives You Lululemons to your Goodreads shelf
The Push was one of my top 10 books of 2021. The central character suffers from perinatal depression and I feel that the hardcover edition of the book represents this better than the paperback edition. My choice is the hardcover edition.
Add The Push to your Goodreads shelf
Another favourite read from 2021, those of you who have read this book will agree that the hardcover edition is the one that most closely reflects this story. My choice is the hardcover edition.
Add The Paper Palace to your Goodreads shelf
I think that each of these covers are beautiful, but because the sisters in the book are twins the Australian cover most closely reflects this. My choice is the Australian cover.
Add The Good Sister to your Goodreads shelf
I like both of these covers, but I’m more attracted to the hardcover because of the vibrant red cover and the interest inside the keyhole. My choice is therefore the hardcover.
Add The Maid to your Goodreads shelf
So that’s Who Wears it Better- February 2022 edition! I’d love to know which covers you prefer, so please let me know in the comments. I appreciate you reading and supporting this blog and hope that you have a wonderful day. ☺️
Jamieadstories
I often find the kindle ones are better. These are all fab though,

Thanks for reading and letting me know your choices Jamie!

Awesome ideas, These books comletely different from each other or just the cover?
thathappyreader
It’s just the cover Fransic. Thanks for reading.
AmethystAP
Interesting post. Based on your short description of the books, I agree with your cover choice. I’ll have to check The Paper Palace to be sure of the cover choice though.

Thanks for reading! Could you not view the graphics of the covers?
Amanda Oaks
So interesting as always to see the different covers and your picks! I like how you judge the covers based on how they reflect the story. I tend to just like the one I think is more pretty lol. Great post!
thathappyreader
I do that sometimes too Amanda! Thanks for reading.
Wendy Williams
I have not seen the Australian cover for The Good Sister and I agree it’s the best. I like the kindle version of the Maid a bit better, I think I like that hotel door hanger. I like the title When Life Gives you Lululemons, it’s so catchy.
thathappyreader
All great choices Wendy! Thanks for reading.
According to Chren
We loved seeing the different cover side by side. Thanks for sharing.

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading.
Sarah Collins
I still think about The Push a year on 😂 agree the hardback cover wins for me

It is such a great book! Thanks for your comment Sarah. ☺️

That ending 🤯
Graham Crosby
Cool post. I definitely prefer the paperback of The Push and the Australian cover for The Good Sister.

Thanks for giving us a male perspective Graham!
Alexis Farmer
I love the concept of this post! It’s interesting how drastically different covers change your conception about what the book may be about.
thathappyreader
Absolutely Alexis! After doing this feature for the past few months, I’m seeing some common themes. Thanks for reading.
Raji
This is a fun post! I agree with your choices for these, I like the hardcover editions better too.
thathappyreader
Thanks Raji! I look forward to putting out this post each month!
GWT
The pink and white version of The Wives, I like. It’s simplistic! Also there’s just something about a hardcover

Thanks for reading!
Karalee Shotola
This was a fun post with seeing the different covers for the same book!
The kindle version of The Wives seems like it’s a mystery book but When Life Gives You Lululemons seems like a women’s fiction book. It’s weird that they changed the title of the book!
I have the same picks for the books as you, but I think I prefer the kindle version of The Maid with the hotel on the door hanger.
thathappyreader
It is interesting Karalee – great marketing to pull more readers to their book. Thanks for reading!
Ramblings of a Nobody
This is such a fun idea for a post, and so many brilliant covers. I love seeing how the cover can change so much, depending on what they want to highlight about the book.
thathappyreader
It is interesting isn’t it? Thanks for reading.
daylightwanderers
This is a good read!! Cant live without books.
thathappyreader
Books are important to me too! Thanks for reading.
Stephanie
I had absolutely no clue that When Life Gives You Lululemons had an alternate NAME, let alone other covers. I gotta admit, I like the US hardcover name/cover because it matches The Devil Wears Prada so much more, in my opinion! I do prefer the Kindle copy of The Maid though. That one is just so cool!
thathappyreader
Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts Stephanie!
Katie
I love this series you do! It’s so much fun. I also had The Push as one of my favorite books last year. I like the hardcover best for that one too. As for The Good Sister, I think I like the US version best but I’m not sure why.
thathappyreader
Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts Katie! I really appreciate you letting me know that you love this series 🥰
readandreviewit
Oh I love this series! I definitely agree with most of your choices, with the exception of being drawn more to the green version of The Maid. Thanks for sharing!
thathappyreader
Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts. I’m definitely in the minority for my choice of The Maid! 😂
Jaya Avendel
I am agreeing with most of your personal choices here! Definitely the hardcovers for both The Paper Palace and the Push, but I am torn between the covers for The Wives . . . I think I am going Kindle on that one. 🙂
thathappyreader
Thanks for reading and commenting Jaya! It’s so interesting for me to read others thoughts on these.
Aimsy
I remember buying a book twice because it had different covers and I didn’t realise haha!
I think I have to agree with your choices, although I like both of ‘The Miad’s covers, I think I could see the second one being the photo for a tv series maybe.
Thanks for sharing 🙂
