Have you ever imagined what it would be like to suddenly be unable to recall past life events? You Will Remember Me by Hannah Mary McKinnon will give you some insight into one man’s struggle to remember his past in order to ensure his safety.
Plot Summary
A man wakes up on a beach in Maryland unaware of who he is and how he ended up on the beach. Dazed and confused, he ends up returning to his hometown in Maine where his search for answers only returns more questions.
Back in Maryland, Lily Reid fears the worst has happened to her boyfriend Jack. The couple have been close and when he doesn’t contact her she reports him as missing with the police. What Lily soon learns is that Jack has been lying about his past.
Maya Scott is elated to see her stepbrother Asher return to Maine. She hasn’t heard from him for years and she can’t believe he has returned. The two have mutual secrets that need to be kept. How far will she go to make sure these secrets remain private?
Book Review
You Will Remember Me has all the twists and turns you come to expect in a good thriller. Told from multiple points of view and multiple time periods, the reader is riveted to learn the factual events of what has happened in the past to lead to the current events.
There is definitely a theme of how secrets can come back to haunt you in this book which will make the reader think twice about keeping their own secrets. The characters are well developed and interesting. The conclusion of this book was absolutely mind-blowing!
What I Liked About You Will Remember Me:
- The multiple POV and multiple time periods were perfect for this well-developed storyline.
- The psychological aspect which kept me guessing what would happen next
- The theme of secrets becoming toxic.
I Recommend This Book To:

Ooh, this book looks super intricate. Thrillers are a bit hard for me to read because I’m impatient, haha BUT I have enjoyed lots of thrillers in the past and have often read them on a long plane or bus trip while travelling! Thanks for sharing xx
